STARFINDER OPTICAL, the very first Korean concept optical shop in the Philippines is once again setting up trends in the country by introducing their newest line of lightweight, stylish and strong, hypoallergenic specs – SPIKA!

I recently went for a visit at Starfinder Optical Glorietta 5 to check out SPIKA last Monday (April 8) 2 days before they officially out the product in the market.

It’s unbelievable, SPIKA is so light that it felt like you’re wearing no specs at all. I think it’s safe to say that a few minutes after putting it on, you’d forget that you’re wearing one.

Starfinder Optical’s PR Head Morgan Lanuza said that the latest innovation is really a breakthrough in eye wear technology and fashion.

SPIKA is made with Titanium and Stainless Steel which makes it extremely durable. The problem with titanium before is that while it’s a very strong material, it is also very heavy – however with new technology, Starfinder Optical was able to design an eye wear made with it but is as light as a feather. Even lighter than synthetic plastic materials.

And as as an add-on feature, they also made the product hypoallergenic to address a growing number of customers who need specs but are allergic to the materials used in making it.

Jacob Song, Marketing Manager, stated, “Because of high demand for hypoallergenic eye wear, the brand decided to produce this revolutionary product to help people prevent allergic reaction while wearing our eyeglasses.”

The product was exclusively developed in South Korea and is available in different colors such as Gold, Silver, Copper and Rose Gold.

The brand also considers SPIKA as part of an all-star lineup that offers a wide variety of styles, which is not produced and not being offered by other optical companies.

Starfinder Optical aims to give people fashion confidence by wearing Spika.  This quarter, the brand started a social media campaign called #WeAreStarfinder to inform everyone that Starfinder Optical is a go-to fashion eye wear shop, where people have the freedom to choose a certain eye wear and be fashionable.

Always communicating its purpose, the brand offers not only fashionable eye wear but also specialized lenses that can be adjusted according to a person’s eye grade. At the same time, these lenses offer protection from UV rays and harmful blue light generated by electronic devices, which may also cause eye strain and headache.

Recently, the brand released a new lens called Primewide, a kind of progressive lens that is considered as one of the top-notch lenses in South Korea.

A pair of SPIKA frames plus specialized lenses cost only 1,890 Pesos.

Starfinder Optical was established in 2007, offering trendy prescription eye wear in Seohyun Rodeo Street in South Korea.

Here in the Philippines they are available in the following locations: SM Southmall, SM City Sta. Rosa, SM Dasmarinas, Festival Mall, BF Homes Paranaque, Robinsons Sta.
