The advent of Cloud in the country has revolutionized the way businesses operate since it is easy to use as well as provides platform that can store, analyze and calculate data. In August 2011, Globe Business became the first telecom company to provide Cloud computing solutions to the country when it launched its own Private Cloud, a service that enables its enterprise customers to acquire their Cloud and optional connectivity from one provider and allowing an end-to-end solution in the process.

Today aside from Globe private Cloud, Globe Business has expanded its suite of solutions to include AWS (Amazon Web Services).

Representing AWS during the event were Peter Sharples , the AWS Asia Pacific Head of Major Initiatives for Channels and Alliances and Vijay Rangarajan, the Partner Solution Architect of AWS Market Place and APAC Service Catalog.

Globe Business also offers an array of Cloud-based business applications like G Suite and GoCanvas, among many others. Globe Business has also put up the first and only Federated Advance Security Operations Center (ASOC) in the Philippines which offers customer service platform management, threat detection, threat hunting and incident response for its own network and the network of its customers. The solution is linked to Trustwave’s network of nine ASOC’s from all over the world which gives Globe the ability to follow the threat where and when it happens and deliver proactive security services.

The benefits was summarized in full by Globe Telecom’s Chief Technology and Information Officer Gil Genio.

And finally for the closing remarks, we heard from Globe Telecom’s Senior Vice President for Enterprise Group Peter Maquera.
