15 Things You Should Know About Julie Anne San Jose

This coming May 17 (Saturday), sensational multi-platinum singer and actress Julie Anne San Jose is turning 20 – happy, contented and absolutely Right Where SHE Belongs!

Julie Anne together with friends and her GMA Artist center family visited last Thursday (May 8) the WHITE CROSS Orphanage in San Juan, a child care agency that attends to abandoned, surrendered and neglected children ages 0 to 6 years old, to celebrate in advance her 20th birthday and to share her blessings to all the kids under the care of the center.

This is the second time that Julie Anne had visited the place, the last time was in December for a simple post-Christmas outreach program.

WHITE CROSS  Executive Director Mely Reluya said that the orphanage has been existing for 78 years now and is being manned by 58 care-givers, nurses, social workers and maintenance people who administer care to an average of 80 kids inside the 150-bed capacity center. 

JULIE ANNE joined the kids in the games and distributed gifts from sponsors Get Laud, Unisilver, Aquabella, Careline, Sweet Escape, Active White, Smart and Leon Philippe.  All the kids were thrilled when Julie Anne sang a rendition of Let It Go from the animation film Frozen.

During the interview, Julie Anne also shared her message to her mom on mothers’ day and also to all the kids in the center.

The young phenomenal singer also said,

“Ang wish ko sa mga bata na to ay sana lagi silang maging masaya.  Keep on dreaming and believing, don’t lose hope and faith in God.  Ask for the Lord’s guidance always.  Yun ang pinaka-powerful na pwede mo dalhin every day. Maging masaya lang sila lagi and everything will fall into its proper places.”

I got a chance to talk to Julie Anne right after the program and here are 15 things that you should know about the birthday girl.

ONE

She’s leaving for an out-of-the-country vacation and business trip on May 25 to June 7.  She’ll visit a Godmother who lives in California and then go to New York for a still yet-to-be-revealed but quite obvious itinerary.*wink*

TWO

Julie Anne said that there was a time in her career when she almost decided to quit showbiz.  That was one of her biggest trials.  His father would’ve welcomed that decision wholeheartedly since he’s not that much in favor of her going to show business in the first place.  However, she’s still here and Showbiz is where she’ll stay.

Julie Anne will be doing a show for GMA 7 Pinoy TV on June 13 in Kuwait.

FOUR

Julie Anne at the time of the interview doesn’t have plans yet for his actual birthday, but she was hoping that she could celebrate it again with another charity event.  And then go bonding with family and close friends.

Julie Anne wants to star in an action-packed TV series or Movie.  She sees it as a challenging experience – a way to showcase her strength as a woman and to probably show the world that a woman here in the Philippines can also do action movies.

Julie Anne puts in her bucket list a travel plan to the Holy Land, Jerusalem.  She basically wants to travel a lot.

Five years from now, Julie Anne said that she’s already gotten her college degree.

Five Years from now, Julie Anne said that she’s probably on her way to becoming an international artist (singer-musician)

Julie Anne also shared that she would love to conquer Broadway someday.  She loves the Broadway musicals Miss Saigon, Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera.  She once played Kim in a High School play and also got a call slip for the Miss Saigon audition here in the Philippines but unfortunately got sick before the audition date.

The release of Julie Anne’s New Album DEEPER was moved to June 1st.  It has 9 original songs, 5 are composed by Julie Anne herself while the remaining four songs were written by other composers.  The carrier single Deeper is currently the theme of GMA Koreanovela ‘Tale of Arang.’

ELEVEN

The video for Julie Anne’s second single in the new album Right Where You Belong will be launched on May 18 at Saunday All Stars.  The MV was directed by Louie Ignacio.

Julie Anne said that she’ll have a TV project for GMA Network coming out within the third quarter of this year.

Julie Anne is hoping to work with Actors Maricel Soriano, Nora Aunor, Tom Rodriguez and Dingdong Dantes.

Julie Anne also said that if she’s not in showbiz, she would have probably be in the field of Journalism or News Casting – a singing News Caster, that would work! *wink”

FIFTEEN

Julie said that getting involved in a romantic relationship is the least of her concerns right now.  She’s busy balancing school and career and only entertains ‘FEELERS’ (mga nagpaparamdam) as friends and not as suitors.  “CHILL LANG,” she said.

On a final note, Julie said that she’s very passionate with what she’s doing right now and is thankful for all the blessings that she continually receive each day like waking up in the morning, her family, her friends, all her supporters, good health and happiness.
