Julie Anne San Jose is the Last of the Kapuso Divas

On the 20th of July, the last of the Kapuso Divas and multi-talented singer-performer Julie Anne San Jose will face the biggest challenge of her 14-year career in the entertainment industry as she finally take her rightful place on the throne with JULIE SINGS THE DIVAS.

Her biggest so far, the world-class event will be held at The Theater at Solaire featuring Journey lead singer Arnel Pineda, the UP Concert Chorus, and the UP Arco String Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Danny Tan and premier director Louie Ignacio.

Fresh from the success of her Kapuso concerts “The Sweetheart and The Balladeer: Fun Night Only” and “Kapusong Pinoy Studio 7 Musikalye sa Brooklyn”, Julie Anne San Jose will show off her wide vocal range in true Diva style as she sings timeless classics from international music legends like Barbara Streisand, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Mariah Carey.

Aside from the classics she will also be singing a couple of new ones and other songs that will be a challenge to almost every singer.

According to Direk Louie and Danny, Julie Anne deserves nothing less than a stellar production for her assendancy.

Direk Tan has nothing but praises for the young Diva. He told the bloggers that he even predicted that Julie Anne will one day go big after hearing her audition for Popstar Kids in 2005. And he was of course right.

Now a multi-awarded singer, Julie Anne has achieved early in her career what most singers only dream of – massive hit songs, millions of fans and three studio albums that earned her a very rare and almost impossible quadruple platinum and triple platinum award.

Direk Louie Ignacio on the other hand praises Julie Anne San Jose’s humble nature. “Siya yung Diva na hindi marunong maging mag Diva,” he said.

JULIE SINGS THE DIVAS will feature 22 songs chosen by Julie herself, while generally the whole concert will be about showcasing Julie and her powerful voice, it will not be without some very important surprises. From the beautiful and daring costumes to the dance numbers and special digital effects – the whole show will be a feat for the senses said Direk Louie and Danny.

Julie Anne reveals during the blogcon that if there’s one Diva song that she’s really not comfortable of singing live, it’s Jennifer Hudson’s “I Am Changing” – she’s terrified of it.

But don’t fret because she will be belting out far more difficult songs during the concert, Julie Anne San Jose and the two directors assures the public.
