Right on cue for Friday, Che’Nelle delivers a track that feels like a reset. “Sense of Wonder” arrives not as a loud statement, but as a quiet reminder – one that nudges listeners to slow down and rediscover the beauty and curiosity tucked into everyday life.
Written as the new theme song for Adventure World theme park, the track was inspired by the park’s corporate philosophy message, “Everyone is a star (誰もがキラボシ)”.
Built on an organic electropop sound, the song blends warmth and clarity with an uplifting energy that feels both expansive and intimate. At its core is the idea of “Sense of Wonder” – the ability to feel moved, to stay curious, and to find meaning in the world around us. The result is a hopeful, emotionally resonant track designed to brighten and energize.
Production is handled by acclaimed creator Kanata Okajima, who also wrote lyrics for Che’Nelle’s 2014 hit “Happiness”. Here, Okajima crafts a refined sonic landscape that moves beyond genre boundaries, merging global pop sensibilities into a polished, contemporary sound.
Speaking on the release, Che’Nelle shares: “‘Sense of Wonder’ is a grand song that reminds us of the beauty of life and the world, as well as the importance of holding onto our curiosity – something we tend to lose sight of in our busy daily lives. I’m really looking forward to people hearing this song.”
Carried by Che’Nelle’s powerful yet crystal-clear vocals, the song’s message lands with clarity and emotional weight. It gently shines a light on the sense of possibility within each listener, offering a moment of pause, and a push forward.
With “Sense of Wonder”, Che’Nelle delivers more than just a theme song. It’s a reminder, softly but firmly placed, that even in the rush of everyday life, there’s still space to feel amazed.
