Spring is in the air, and so is a new emotional anthem from Atarayo.
Their latest single “Spring Is Coming (春となり)” is featured as an insert song in the nationwide theatrical release of The Dangers in My Heart (僕の心のヤバイやつ). A sweeping medium-tempo ballad rich in lyrical storytelling, the track carries a beautiful dual meaning: the literal arrival of spring, and the idea of winter as the “season beside spring”. Through expressive lyrics and dynamic melodic shifts, the song traces the gradual closing of distance between two hearts, unfolding with quiet intensity and warmth.
The accompanying music video journeys from Valentine’s Day to White Day, capturing the delicate emotional exchange between two people hovering just shy of confession. Tender glances, unspoken words, and a single tear become the language of young love.
Director Udo shared his thoughts on the concept behind the music video:
“The MV portrays a White Day when the two have not fully expressed their feelings. I reflected on their relationship in the girl’s tears. I hope viewers enjoy imagining the emotions and stories behind each moment.”
This marks Atarayo’s second collaboration with The Dangers in My Heart, following their January 2024 TV anime Season 2 opening theme “(I Am…)『僕は…』”.
Since 2024, Atarayo has continued their rapid ascent both domestically and overseas. Their second Asia tour, 「夢語り Yume-gatari」TOUR 2025, spanned nine cities across China and five cities in Japan, with multiple sold-out performances, further cementing the band’s position as one of the most compelling forces in contemporary J-pop.
