Vena Energy, a leading sustainable energy company in the Asia Pacific region with a growing presence in the Philippines, conducted a Coastal Clean-Up on Talim Island, Rizal, last November 6. The initiative, benefitting Barangay Gulod, Binangonan Rizal, is the third in a series of six, highlighting the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement.
Community Partnership
Conducted in partnership with the Barangay Council of Gulod, the initiative showcases Vena Energy’s strong dedication to nurturing the ecosystems and communities it serves. Mobilizing Vena Energy employees and local residents, the coastal clean-up effectively transformed corporate responsibility into collective action for the environment.
Registration was at the Coastal Road along the Municipal Annex with the morning’s activities efficiently planned out to ensure maximum environmental impact and adherence to safety protocols.
The Coastal Clean-Up took place from 7:30AM to 8:30AM wherein volunteers happily worked together to effectively remove debris, preventing pollution from spoiling the waters of Laguna de
Bay. Vena Energy’s hands-on involvement in this activity demonstrates its conviction that sustainability extends beyond power generation and encompasses active care for the local environment.
“Our commitment to sustainable energy is intrinsically linked to the well-being of the communities and environments we operate in,” said a Vena Energy representative. “This coastal clean-up at Talim Island is a tangible reflection of our dedication. It is about working side-by-side with local partners like the Barangay Council of Gulod to ensure a cleaner, healthier future.”
Sustained Commitment
The event concluded with a short fellowship amongst participants to reinforce the strong partnerships forged through the day’s environmental effort. This initiative marked the beginning of subsequent Coastal Clean-Ups by Vena Energy in Rizal which are scheduled for the following weeks in other key barangays such as Navotas, Subay, and Boor.
By integrating environmental conservation with its core business values, Vena Energy continues to solidify its position not just as a clean energy producer but as a proactive organization dedicated to delivering a cleaner and more sustainable future for the Philippines.
