Puregold Price Club Inc. continues to demonstrate that corporate growth and societal inclusivity are not only compatible but can be powerful, mutually reinforcing objectives. With its flagship Tindahan ni Aling Puring (TNAP) program now encompassing over one million active members, Puregold has notably transitioned from a traditional retail entity into a significant catalyst for grassroots economic empowerment across the Philippines.
This strategic evolution was prominently showcased at the recent 2025 Tindahan Ni Aling Puring Sari-Sari Store Negosyo Convention, held from May 15-17 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. The event attracted a record attendance of nearly 50,000 sari-sari store owners and micro-entrepreneurs. More than a celebration of loyalty, the convention signified a key milestone in Puregold’s strategy to further integrate its operations with the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector—a vital engine of the Philippine economy.

Ferdinand Vincent P. Co, President of Puregold, articulated the company’s vision:
“Our business’s impact is measured not only by store count but also by the lives transformed. When a sari-sari store thrives, it propels family advancement, strengthens community bonds, and fosters economic growth from the ground up. By empowering our ‘Ka-Asenso’ partners (a term for its member entrepreneurs) to succeed, we are actively contributing to the development of flourishing communities.”
Initiated 21 years ago as a store-based loyalty card program, TNAP has evolved into a comprehensive nationwide platform fostering micro-entrepreneurship. It integrates product accessibility, educational resources, community engagement, and digital transformation initiatives. The 2025 convention’s theme, “Piliin si Aling Puring, Kayang-Kaya Umansenso” (Choose Aling Puring, You Can Surely Succeed), encapsulates the potent proposition that financial mobility and broader national growth can be cultivated incrementally, one enterprise at a time.
Puregold has developed transformative programs for its TNAP members that extend beyond mere discounts. Initiatives such as “Mas Pinababang Presyo Araw-araw” (Lower Prices Everyday) and “Panalo sa Branded” (Win with Branded Goods) provide members with access to high-margin, in-demand products, thereby enhancing their profitability.
In the digital realm, Puregold is actively addressing the technology adoption gap. Tools such as the Puregold Mobile App and the P-Wallet digital payment system enable online ordering, payments, and inventory management. These empower even the smallest sari-sari stores to operate with efficiencies comparable to modern retail establishments, while also serving as vital community hubs.
The TNAP program functions as a strategic growth engine for Puregold. By engaging its one million MSME members as both a loyal customer base and an extensive distribution network, Puregold leverages an intrinsic salesforce that reaches diverse communities nationwide—a competitive advantage difficult for others to replicate.
The 2025 convention also highlighted robust collaborations with partner suppliers, who utilized the event for direct engagement with sari-sari store owners. For Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies and other suppliers, Puregold’s grassroots platform provides an unparalleled opportunity for high-volume, high-trust engagement on a significant scale.

In an economic climate characterized by inflationary pressures, MSMEs are crucial for national resilience. These enterprises constitute 99.5% of all businesses in the Philippines and are responsible for over 60% of the nation’s employment. Despite their significance, many MSMEs face challenges in accessing formal distribution channels, financing, and technology. Puregold is strategically addressing these deficiencies, thereby creating a sustainable competitive advantage.
“We have consistently maintained that progress must be shared,” Mr. Co emphasized. “Our commitment, encapsulated in the phrase ‘Tuloy ang Asenso’ (Progress Continues), extends to our members, our partners, and the nation as a whole.”
