The opening ceremony was officiated by Ms. Rungphech Chitanuwat, the Country General Manager of Informa Markets in the Philippines and is graced by Honorable Senator Francis “Tol” Tolentino and Undersecretary for Livestock of the Department of Agriculture, Deogracias Victor Savellano, who represented Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr.

Ms. Chitanuwat said that the conferences and forums scheduled during this year’s Livestock Philippines and Aquaculture Philippines demonstrate the strong commitment of Informa Markets and the Department of Agriculture to help level up the two subsectors. “The vast potential of the Philippines’ livestock and aquaculture subsectors can be realized by bringing together stakeholders, technology
providers, and people who have access to new markets, among many others, through events like Livestock Philippines and Aquaculture Philippines,” she added.
Furthermore, the 1st Biosecurity Asia Forum highlights the relevance of having a well-made biosecurity measure and is anticipated to gather industry practitioners who are keen to learn new approaches in different sectors such as swine, poultry, and aquaculture. Furthermore, the Livestock Philippines Recognition returns to acknowledge the contributions of groups, cooperatives, and industry associations that have significantly contributed to the advancement of the livestock and aquaculture sectors in the country. The exhibition hall will feature educational attractions, such as the Eggcellent Corner by the Batangas Egg Producers Cooperative, and Sustainability Square spearheaded by Prestige Paper Products and the Central Luzon, the events’ Sustainability Partners.
This year marks the 7th edition of Livestock Philippines, while Aquaculture Philippines is in its 4th edition, aiming to establish itself as an independent event in the next edition.
