Landco Joins Golf Specialists in Proposal to Rehabilitate John Hay Golf Course

Landco Pacific Corporation, the leisure real estate developer under the MVP Group, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Turfgrass Management Inc. (TMI) and Golfplus Management Inc. (GMI). The three companies will jointly pursue the development, rehabilitation, operation and maintenance of the John Hay Golf Course in Camp John Hay, Baguio City.

Under the agreement, the partners will prepare and submit an unsolicited proposal to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA). The proposal covers a long-term lease of at least 25 years.

For Landco Lifestyle Ventures (LLV), Landco’s hospitality arm, the partnership fits naturally with its presence in the city. LLV already welcomes guests to Baguio through John Hay Hotels. A revitalized course would add to what draws travelers to the highlands: cool mountain air, pine-framed fairways, and the slower, more deliberate pace of a mountain retreat.

“Camp John Hay holds a special place in Filipinos lives and its golf course is part of that memory,” said Erickson Y. Manzano, President and CEO of Landco Pacific Corporation. “By partnering with experts who know this game and this terrain, we hope to restore the course with the care it deserves, for the next generation of players and visitors. A course of this heritage, renewed with intention, would give our guests one more reason to linger, and one more way to experience the highlands as they are meant to be enjoyed.”
