The Philippine dining scene is no longer just finding its footing on the global stage—it is walking with absolute confidence, deep pride, and an undeniable sense of place.
MICHELIN Guide unveiled its second edition of the MICHELIN Guide Manila and Environs & Cebu during a ceremony held at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Newport World Resorts. The 2027 selection spans 127 total establishments, signaling a maturing dining landscape defined by depth, consistency, and local heritage rather than rapid, unchecked expansion.
Covering Manila, Cebu, Pampanga, and Cavite, the new guide highlights a clear narrative: Filipino cuisine is leading the charge. Nearly 60% of the newly selected establishments focus on local flavors, showcasing how a new generation of chefs is pairing regional heritage with elevated, modern techniques.
As Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide, put it:
“The Philippines continues to impress with the way its culinary scene is evolving while remaining deeply connected to its roots. Our Inspectors found chefs expressing a growing confidence in showcasing local ingredients, traditions and regional flavors, while bringing fresh perspectives and creativity to their craft.”
Here is everything you need to know about this year’s stellar lineup.
The Stars: Sustained Excellence and a Bright Newcomer
Two MICHELIN Stars
- Helm (Makati) — Reaffirming its status as one of the country’s premier fine-dining destinations, Helm successfully retained its Two MICHELIN Star rating.
