Triple global top-1 TV Brand and a global leader in Fresh Air AC sales, TCL Electronics recently welcomed its first batch of Philippine business-to-business (B2B) dealers to its air-conditioning manufacturing facility in Guangzhou, China, for a two-day factory tour on September 23 and 24.
The visit gave dealers a firsthand look at how TCL makes air conditioners, from production and engineering to quality testing. It also gave TCL an opportunity to bring its partners closer to the technology behind its products and recognize their role in growing the company’s business in the Philippines.
The tour began at the Guangzhou Intelligent Manufacturing Base, a facility equipped with three flexible, highly automated factories, 15 research and development laboratories, and 10 intelligent production lines. Dealers saw how automation, engineering expertise, and quality control integrated into the manufacturing process to support production of TCL’s residential and commercial air conditioning systems.
The Guangzhou facility is part of TCL’s broader air conditioning manufacturing network. Its Zhongshan Base 1 headquarters specializes in outdoor units, window-type and floor-standing air conditioners, and specialized HVAC units. Other facilities in Zhongshan, Jiujiang, and Wuhan support production, alongside specialized ventures such as TCL De’Longhi and Rechi Compressor. The company also operates manufacturing facilities in Brazil, Argentina, and Indonesia, with new facilities in Pakistan and Thailand planned over the next two years.
During the factory tour, dealers gained a closer understanding of the technology and processes behind TCL’s air conditioning portfolio. They explored how intelligent climate controls, precision engineering, and product durability testing contribute to developing cooling solutions for applications ranging from homes to commercial establishments.
For Philippine dealers, seeing these processes firsthand offers practical value beyond familiarizing themselves with the product. A better understanding of how the systems are developed and tested can help them explain product features more confidently, address customer questions, and identify solutions suited to different cooling requirements. In a market where performance, energy efficiency, and long-term reliability matter to both households and businesses, product knowledge is an important part of serving customers well.
The September visit also marks the start of a wider dealer engagement program that will run throughout the fourth quarter of 2026. TCL plans to bring several batches of dealers and industry stakeholders to its Guangzhou manufacturing hub, with up to 600 participants expected.
The initiative forms part of TCL’s efforts to grow its commercial air conditioning business while strengthening relationships with its local partners. By giving dealers direct exposure to its manufacturing operations, the company aims to help them better understand the products they represent and the capabilities that support TCL’s business.
“Our investment in smart manufacturing is driven by our commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality air conditioning solutions to customers around the world, including the Philippines. Over the past five years, we have produced more than 100 million air conditioners, reflecting the scale of our manufacturing capabilities. Equally important to us are the partners who bring our products closer to Filipino consumers and businesses. By opening our facilities to them, we want our partners to see firsthand the technology and quality behind our products and strengthen their confidence in representing TCL in a competitive and growing Philippine market,” said Randy Benito A. Raguero, Business Development Manager, TCL Philippines.
