Acclaimed filmmaker Nijel de Mesa unveils his most sophisticated and emotionally charged work to date: Hearts In Transit — a full-length, full-English international feature crafted for a global audience with a taste for elevated storytelling.

Set between Tokyo’s architectural brilliance and Japan’s understated coastal serenity, Hearts In Transit follows three Americans navigating love far from home namely Ravi, portrayed by Will Devaughn — a high-ranking logistics officer stationed in Japan. Controlled, strategic, and accomplished, Ravi represents structure and security. Devaughn, who first captured public attention as a finalist on Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition 2 before building a substantial acting career in the Philippines, delivers a performance of restraint and quiet power — the kind that simmers rather than explodes.
Gale, is played by Australian model and professional host Sheridan Mortlock, makes a striking screen debut. She is a research fellow specializing in circular economy and sustainability, Gale relocates to Japan to advance work aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Sheridan’s real-life double degree in Global Sustainability and Politics gives the role intellectual gravitas, while her advocacy for sustainable fashion — including collaboration with initiatives like SLOGUE and her commitment to second-hand and natural fibers — lends authenticity rarely seen on screen. Trained in her youth at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, this marks a poised and deliberate return to acting — a full-circle moment executed with elegance.
And Flynn, embodied by Nico Locco, is charisma without containment. A Canadian-Italian actor known for bold, unconventional roles in Philippine cinema, Locco brings magnetic unpredictability to a man still defining his own narrative. Flynn is temptation — not merely romantic, but existential.
