Puregold Price Club, Inc. was recognized as one of Manila City’s Top Business Taxpayers at the Gawad Manileño awards in Metropolitan Theater, Ermita, Manila, on Monday, June 17.
Gawad Manileño is an award given by the City of Manila, Philippines, to recognize and honor individuals, organizations, or groups that have made significant contributions to the city. The award aims to celebrate those who have excelled in various fields such as public service, arts and culture, business, education, and more, thereby contributing to the development and betterment of Manila. The award is part of the city’s efforts to acknowledge and promote excellence and dedication among its citizens and stakeholders.
The Gawad Manileño 2024 “Mga Natatanging Tagapagbayad ng Buwis Para sa Negosyo” recognized outstanding companies, including Puregold, for its dutiful payment of taxes, contributing to the growth of the city. The awards were conferred by Manila Mayor Honey-Lacuna Pangan and Vice Mayor John Marvin “Yul Servo” Nieto.
Aside from Puregold, the other awardees in the said category were International Container Terminal Services, Inc., Mercury Drug Corporation, Asian Terminals Incorporated, Manila North Harbour Port, Inc., Philippine Chinese Charitable Association, Inc., SM Prime Holdings, Inc. and Golden Arches Development Corporation.
San Miguel Corporation (SMC) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ramon Ang was also honored with the Gawad Gat Andres Bonifacio award during the same event.
