In celebration of International Women’s Month, BDO Private Bank partnered with Zonta Club of Makati & Environs (ZCME) and Galerie Joaquin in presenting Women Rise, a special art exhibit featuring the talent of female artists. The exhibit was professionally curated by the renowned Galerie Joaquin and ran from March 9-12 at the Power Plant Mall, Rockwell Center, Makati.

“BDO Private Bank has always been a patron of Philippine arts and culture. We have also always espoused the values of gender equality in line with our parent company BDO Unibank’s support for the United Nations’ Sustainability Development Goals,” said Albert Yeo, president of BDO Private Bank.
Meanwhile, ZCME has been helping empower women in communities for over 50 years. It is a member of Zonta International, a worldwide organization of professionals and executives working together to advance the status of women through service and advocacy.

“Women Rise” featured nearly 40 paintings and sculptures of established and emerging Filipina artists. Part of the exhibit’s proceeds will fund ZCME’s projects, such as its Psychological Center for abused women and girls in Marillac Hills, Muntinlupa; Empowering Women’s Scholarship Program at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines; and Food Share Program, a platform for community building which uses collaborative work to resolve poverty-related issues.

BDO Private Bank is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BDO Unibank. It offers investment, financial, trust, and estate advisory services to high net worth individuals as well as corporate and institutional clients.
