Almost two years into the pandemic, living a healthy lifestyle has been the priority of Marjorie Uy of ‘Woman In Digital’. As a lifestyle blogger from the Philippines, she did not let life’s challenges stop her from pursuing her passion and raising awareness towards a healthy way of life.

Having started in 2010, the Woman in Digital blog has been Marjorie’s personal space of her travel adventures, practical life tips, and pursuit for healthy living and wellness. As a graduate of Nursing and as a USRN, she mostly features fitness and health articles, aside from the occasional tech-topics.
Not Your Ordinary ‘Plantita’
Even before the term ‘plantita’ was coined, Marjorie has already been active in sharing her knowledge and experience on how to grow edible plants in small spaces – now commonly referred to as ‘urban gardening’. This 2021, her photos of planting and harvesting vegetables in her front yard became an inspiration to many when she was featured on Inquirer Lifestyle here and on the Agricultural Training Institute website as “Not Your Ordinary Plantita“.

Moreover earlier this year, the Green Core Society of St. Louis Baguio City hosted Marjorie as one of their guest speakers during their webinar series in celebration of Earth Day 2021 where Marjorie shared insights on the topic “How To’s of Domestic Greenery” as attended by more than 50 students from St. Louis Baguio City.
Just a few weeks ago before the year ends, the Department of Agriculture, through the office of Senator Grace Poe, hosted the Binhi ng Pag-Asa National Year-End Summit where Marjorie talked about her experience as an ‘Influencer’ for organic agriculture. This blended set-up event (face-to-face and virtual) was held at the ATI government office in Quezon City. The summit was attended by more than two hundred participants from all over the Philippines. ‘How to start a blog’ and creating meaningful content, are just some of the things she discussed.
“As a medical professional, I understand that the pandemic was really a challenge for everyone in different aspects of life. I hope we will all eventually get through this stronger! I wish everyone a healthy and Happy New Year!”
