Actor Xian Lim is all set to play host to the Philippine franchise of the British game show 1000 Heartbeats – his first try at officially hosting a television show.
Xian Lim who have had his share of experiences in hosting pageants has been very vocal about his dream of following the footsteps of other successful Filipino celebrity hosts like Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford. 1000 Heartbeats – Pintig Pinoy which will be directed by It’s Showtime director Bobet Vidanes and will air on TV5 beginning March 21 (Sunday) at 8pm is going to be his baptism of fire.
1000 Heartbeats first aired in 2015 on iTV hosted by Vernon Kay. Each of the contestants will be alloted 1000 heartbeats as its equivalent of a time limit to answer a set of questions. With the help of a monitoring equipment, the players’ heart rates will be recorded throughout the game, upon which the game is declared over once all 1000 heartbeats are registered. Conversely, the way to win the cash prize is by keeping their cool under pressure in all seven rounds.
Aside from the Philippine franchise having exactly the same program content from the interactive heartbeat monitor to the live string quartet, Xian said that he has the same demeanor as the original host which probably is one of the reasons why he was selected for the project.
Xian Lim will be joined by comedian and Youtuber Chad Kinis.
1000 Heartbeats – Pintig Pinoy is produced by VIVA Entertainment and is a welcome addition to the Kapatid Network’s impressive line-up of entertainment programs this year starting with The Wall Philippines premiering on Saturday, March 13 at 6pm and hosted by Billy Crawford.
