All Aboard! The LRT 1 Love Train

Now on its fourth year, the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) launched yesterday morning its LRT 1 Love Train just in time for Valentine’s Day – Just one of the many innovations and passenger-centered activities they brought to the franchise since they assumed operations in 2015.

Aptly themed as “Love is in the Train”, this year’s LRT 1 Love Train will show passengers the different stages of love via the train’s three coaches.

First Dates

The first train car has a sweet first date theme, coated in pastel colors displaying images of ice cream and donut desserts that budding couples often share together.

In a Relationship

The second car is themed sweet shabby chic, with floral designs – as well as the three magic words: “She Said Yes!” – that come with a successful marriage proposal installed in the train’s articulation area.

We Are One

The third car has a rustic wedding theme, which represents the intimate magic if the most important day of a couple’s life through wood, brick and floral designs.

Passengers will find some love quotes that they can relate to, printed on the windows of the train. The LRT 1 Love Train also showcases interactive wall activities to encourage passengers to take photos and share them online for surprise giveaways.

Sweet Treats

LRT 1 passengers who went on board the Love Train yesterday enjoyed some sweet treats and were serenaded by the LRMC choir and train operators with fun, heartwarming songs.

All Aboard!

Present during the launch is LRMC President and CEO Juan Alfonso who went on board the LRT 1 Love Train with media guests and all the lucky LRT 1 morning passengers who were the first to experience the new Valentine-themed coaches.

“We hope that through this special Valentine’s month display, LRMC can make our passengers’ days extra brighter and happier this season,” Alfonso said.

The LRT 1 Love Train are now ready to spread the love from Baclaran to Roosevelt and back.
