Anyone who ever had the chance of gifting someone with kitchen or household items that made a lasting impression is 100% sure that they got it from Gourdo’s.

Whether it be for Christmas or for celebrating someone’s wedding or birthday, Gourdo’s is here to make your life easier and get you a nomination for the most appreciated person of the year! 🙂

Last Wednesday I was invited to the housewarming party of the new Gourdo’s store at Glorietta 4 in Makati City. This branch is actually the 2nd oldest Gourdo’s store in the Philippines originally operating at a 26-square meter corner also in Glorietta 4 near Food Choices.

The new Gourdo’s Glorietta 4 is not far from the original store which they held on to since 2004, it’s just across the old one but now 10x bigger. If I am not mistaking, the spot that they are now occupying used to be an appliance store.

Gourdo’s is known to house premium names in kitchenware and cookware such as Wilton, Wusthof, Microplane, Lodge, Ballarini, Swissmar, Libbey, Tovolo, and Trudeau. Brands that professional chefs, restaurateurs and sophisticated homemakers use in their place of business and homes.

Get that magazine-worthy stylish settings for your home dinner parties with lots of options for dinnerware, cutlery, glassware, and linens that are really easy on the budget especially when it’s on sale.

And yes, you can Buffet with serving tools like chafers, buffet plates, grazing boards, and service sets. If a raclette party is on your calendar, Gourdo’s has everything for a cheese or chocolate fondue.

You can also put together a Spanish spread with their paelleras, cazuelas, and Spanish food ingredients.

Coffee and Cocktails

Also available are tools for those who are into bartending such as copper cocktail shakers, stemware and wines.

Those who prefer coffee and tea won’t be disappointed with the selection of accessories and coffee beans and the line-up of tea brands. Gourdo’s carries Twinings, Tipson, and Basilur.

Even baking ingredients are available. Are you looking for Wilton fondant and food coloring, chocolates for praline-making, colored dusting powder for sugar crafts, cookie and cupcake decorating? They have that.

They also sell home-grown favorites like Basimatsi vinegar as well as chocolates from Auro, Malagos, Manila Chocolatier, and Theo and Philo.

Electric Appliance

It’s not just all little things at Gourdo’s, don’t be surprised to see electric kitchen appliances under the labels of Kitchen Aid, Oster, Kenwood, Vitamix, Braun, George Foreman, and Russel Hobbs.

Bed and Bath

They have a bed and bath corner that offers beddings, pillows in various shapes and sizes, towels, and bathroom accessories. A selection of soaps, sprays, and candles can also be found there.

The terrarium bar is difficult to miss with its row of succulents and stash of tiny shovels, pots, potting mix, pumice, rocks and pebbles.

Gourdo’s also has its own in-house labeled products that are priced cheaper but the quality is pretty much the same as the international brands.

ILG Card

At the party, our hosts also distributed I Love Gourdo’s (ILG) Card to all the guests.

For every 300 Pesos purchase, the ILG cardholder earns a point which has a value of P1.00 and may be used in succeeding visits. Aside from providing access to a reward system, the card is also key to special discounts and exclusive privileges.

To avail for free, a minimum single receipt purchase worth 3,000 Pesos is required, or you can pay 150 pesos. You can get the card on the spot after filling up an application form.

Here are some Christmassy stuff at Gourdo’s where you can sample the ILG card!
