For four tremendous seasons, Globaltronics have played the role of seeker as it searches for the best of the best in the digital arts world here in the Philippines via the National Digital Arts Awards (NDAA) competition.

This annual event has been highlighting the most talented digital artists in the country since 2013. And this year promises to be the grandest yet as it offers bigger prizes and more categories.

The National Digital Arts Awards 2018 with the theme “Driven by Design, Fueled by Passion, Empowering Today’s Digital Artists” was formally launched to the media last Thursday (June 21) in an intimate forum at the BGC Clock In co-working space led by Jump Digital Asia Founder and Chairman Jed Marcaida and NDAA lead program architect Tobias Miguel Bernardo.

This year’s event will be different in many ways. Because of digital media’s popularity and ubiquity among the younger generation of artists, the minimum age for this year’s event has been lowered to encourage more entries from students, which would now be judged in a separate category.

NDAA 2018 is now open to professionals, students, and artists as young as 14 years old.

Globaltronics also added three new categories for NDAA 2018:

  • Digital Art in Print
  • Character Design
  • Animation
  • Digital Short Movie
  • Website U/X
  • Drone Movie Experience

Bernardo stressed during the launch that entries for all the categories should be original and unpublished (not publicly shared in any way).

Here are the requirements for each of the categories:
