GREENWICH celebrated World Pizza Day with a BANG!

It’s one of those days where being stuck in Makati on a rush hour Friday didn’t matter. In fact, the Glorietta Dolphin Park became a convergence point for pizza lovers from all walks of life. There’s entertainment, games, a mini-concert and of course FREE PIZZA!

The park gates opened to the public at around 6pm but we were already there as early as 3pm for the media event. We got to experience first hand what the #GWorldPizzaDay event is all about. The park was transformed into a huge Greenwich Pizza open food park with booths that serves their signature pizza flavors, pasta dishes, sidekicks and drinks.

What was on my plate: Greenwich Hawaiian and Ultimate Overload, Lasagna, Creamy Carbonara, and a combination of Wacky Wings and Potato Waves.

Enjoyed these food surrounded by some of the most popular Pizza Hugot signs that you usually find in Greenwich restaurants.

Pizza is Love

Aside from the delicious treats, the pizza company also introduced their newest Greenwich Barkada members – Ella Cruz, Julian Trono, Bela Padilla and JC Santos! Resident Greenwich Kabarkada Robi Domingo was of course there to welcome the newbies.

Ella Cruz and Julian Trono is known as the Prince and Princess of the dance floor. Their dance videos were some of the most watched videos online.

Bela Padilla is a Filipino-British actors who is also recognized as one of the sexiest celebrities in the Philippines.

JC Santos on the other hand is a thespian and one of the most sought after actor today.

During the program proper, pizza lovers were treated to a mini concert from bands Hale, Mayonaise and Silent Sanctuary. Guests were also able to get some cool prizes through various games like Pizza Eating Contest, Hawaiian Hula Dance Off, Instant Quizzes and Box Overload Challenge.

I am already looking forward to the next Greenwich World Pizza Day celebration. All those in favor of making this a weekly national event say YAY!
