2018 PREDICTIONS | Your Fortune Forecast for the Year of the Earth Dog

It was my first time to attend a Feng Shui Convention and it was a very enlightening experience!

Hosted by Ms. Marites Allen, the only internationally recognized female Feng Shui Master from the Philippines, the 13th Philippine Feng Shui Convention for the Year of the Earth Dog held at Marco Polo Ortigas Hotel last January 6 was a jam packed gathering of various personalities, old and new Feng Shui enthusiasts.

Co-hosting the event with Ms. Allen was the Philippine’s King of Talk Dr. Boy Abunda. Also present during the event were Janice De Belen, Tessa Prieto Valdes, Blanca Mercado, Gretchen Fullido and many others.

Feng Shui by definition is a Chinese philosophical system of harmonizing everyone with the surrounding environment. Depending on the manner by which it is used (usually in architecture), an auspicious site is determined locally through the knowledge of bodies of water, the stars and a Feng Shui compass. It’s a very difficult practice, only a true master can give you an accurate reading. A master like Marites Allen.

As a first-timer to the world of Feng Shui, the whole day event has been a wonderful learning experience for me.

Ms. Allen provided me with my destiny chart reading for the year 2018 where I discovered that I got 4 out of 5 ruling elements:

• Fire (10%)
• Earth (16%)
• Metal (51%)
• Water (23%).

I have zero Wood on my chart this year and that’s going to be a bummer (I’ll tell you why later).

My Luck direction is at Kua #9 which tells me to watch out for the directions West, North East, South West and North West. My wealth and health points are in the direction of the East and South East – so don’t be so surprise if I’ll be somewhere near Antipolo, Rizal more often this year. 🙂

I was born under the sign of the Water Ox by the way.

I would like to share some of the things that I’ve learned from Ms. Marites Allen about the Year of the Earth Dog 2018 and what’s in store for all the Animal signs for the new year from February 16, 2018 to February 4, 2019.

GENERAL FORECAST 2018

Earth, Wood, Water & Fire

2018 has four (4) Wood, two (2) Earth, one (1) Water, one (1) fire and zero Metal element. Wood is particularly the strongest element this year so if you have a wood element under your destiny chart (get your destiny reading only from Ms. Marites Allen) you are likely to have better luck this year. I don’t have wood, so it’s going to be a bit of a struggle for me this year.

Wood represents Sales so expect a bullish forecast in industries like fashion, agriculture, farming, media and education. Other businesses that will do well are those having to do with the Fire element like fuel, entertainment, restaurants, etc. Heavenly challenged this year are those represented by the Metal element like cars, hardware, banking, finance, tech, architecture, etc.

Earth represents assets. The Yang Earth on top of the Yang Earth Dog this year brings good fortune, if you have this on the chart, you’ll have more luck in acquiring new properties (assets in general).

Fire represents optimism, happiness, self awareness and new discoveries while Water represents influence and profits. If you have both Wood and Water on your destiny chart, then you’ll be smooth-sailing this year. I have a huge amount of Water but I don’t have Wood. 🙁

What I do have abundantly is the Metal element which represents cash. To have this work for me, I will need to activate the Wood element and Frigga Charmed Life has got me covered with their mantras and protection charms. (More details on the charms at the end of this article)

Meanwhile, here are the 2018 forecast for each of the Animal Signs (Check for your year of birth and take note of your allies):

RAT (2008, 1996, 1984, 1972) Allies: Dragon and Monkey

Long-term benefits are to be expected by Rat-born people. Strong chance of romantic encounters. A financially rewarding year but be weary of your affiliations. It’s best to consider taking some time off, rest and give yourself that much needed break.

OX (2009, 1997, 1985, 1973) Allies: Snake and Rooster

This year will demand much from the Ox, watch out for some misunderstandings and disputes. Intimate relationships, love and romance are sure to flourish. More reasons to celebrate as Ox-born are on the run for good wealth accumulation. Invest on valuable assets such as a piece of land or commercial property. Your physical well-being though are at stake, make health a priority, it’s going to be a good year don’t put it to waste.

TIGER (2010, 1998, 1986, 1974) Allies: Horse and Dog

A reasonably good year for the Tiger, provided you control your temper and avoid confrontations. You are at great risk of low immune system avoid Yin places (hospitals, wakes) – it’s best to go for some health initiatives and monitored exercise regimen. Some earlier investments result to financial losses affecting your personal assets and other investments. Arguments are possible due to earlier losses.  You are also at risk of being the subject of a political issue in the office. Colleagues may try to double-cross you. Be careful in signing deals and contracts.

RABBIT (2011, 1999, 1987, 1975) Allies: Sheep and Boar

Monetary gains may be extended this year. Be prudent with your finances. Opportunities for a valuable business break but buy or invest only in things necessary and save for the rainy days. Revisit your networking groups and exert energies only on people who matter and give you a good return.

DRAGON (2012, 2000, 1988, 1976) Allies: Rat and Monkey

The Dragon will benefit from the wealth luck this year but since the Year of the Dog is your conflict year, you will feel that you are not moving at all. Take it easy and do charity works. Great relationships are hard to come by, so whatever meaningful relationship you have, focus on strengthening it. For every gain this year expect a bigger loss. Be prudent. There are also threats to physical well-being. Avoid conflicts.

SNAKE (2013, 2001, 1989, 1977) Allies: Ox and Rooster

Good news to all Snake-born this year.  Loving energies are at an all-time high. Travels, training and career promotions are just some of your heavenly blessings to come. Health is low though so avoid visiting hospitals and wakes. As timing is everything, for those planning to move to a different job or location – this is the best time to do it.

HORSE (2014, 2002, 1990, 1978) Allies: Tiger and Dog

A rewarding year for love and romance. Married Horses might be prone to the threat of third party relationships. Finances for the Horse will be favorable and smooth. Increase in profits and possible promotions and salary increases. Horse-born people might be prone to accidents though.

SHEEP (2015, 2003, 1991, 1979) Allies: Rabbit and Boar

Re-focus your attention more to yourself, there is no need to explore and initiate brand new ventures. Redouble efforts to achieve goals previously set. Apart from an unexpected windfall, increase in both work and projects will come in many folds. Do not gamble or invest in things you are not sure of. A favorable year for career opportunities and building relationships.

MONKEY (2016, 2004, 1992, 1980, 1968) Allies: Dragon and Rat

A hectic year for the Monkey bringing possible cash inflows in the form of windfall. Many positive events to look forward to but beware of threats to physical wellness. Injury risks are high. Ease on spending because there are more possibilities of money going out than coming in. Tap additional income sources.

ROOSTER (2017, 2005, 1993, 1981, 1969) Allies: Ox and Snake

Roosters have so much to be joyful for this year as it brings in very good prospects despite some challenges. Financial lost are high this year and pressures from daily task will surely affect physical and mental well-being. Investing time and energy on things that you are unfamiliar with may not be a good strategy, stick to the situation you are now and keep your cool.

DOG (2006, 1994, 1982, 1970) Allies: Tiger and Horse

Feng Shui winds favor into your sector to totally dissolve all the disappointments and misfortunes of the past. New beginnings are in the horizon and income growing in 2018 is very possible. Expect harmony and positive interpersonal relationships. Luck will be on your side as improvements in the relationships side emerge.

BOAR (2007, 1995, 1983, 1971) Allies: Rabbit and Sheep

Time to let go and forget about the anxieties and the mistakes you made in the past. Time to make changes within yourself and to your environment. Keep your cool and manage your health and finances well.  Acquaintances and new connections may lead to great relationship opportunities. Your finances will be more stable this year. You are better off staying where you are now regardless of some minor obstacles, do not make any rash decisions. Be careful in taking long trips, accidents are likely.

So those are the general outlook for all the animal signs for the Year of the Earth Dog 2018. Now I have learned that while these may serve as a general guide for the year, our over-all “luck” will depend on how we react to our circumstances.
