SUNSHINE CRUZ could be a vampire. Now 40 years old, she remains to be as flawless as she was when she was starting out in showbiz 25 years ago.

A mother to three beautiful daughters from ex-husband and actor Cesar Montano, Sunshine formalizes her return to the entertainment industry by signing up with talent manager Arnold Vegafria and the ALV Talent Circuit group.

While she never really left the limelight by portraying support roles in TV series like “Galema”, “Oh My G” and “Dolce Amore”, it is only now that she was able to concentrate on television acting specially with her latest project with ABS CBN as Camia/Jasmine in “Wildflower”.

Despite her steady stream of ABS-CBN projects, she clarifies that she’s not an exclusive artist.

She points out, “I always get offers and opportunities. I’m not an exclusive artist of ABS-CBN, but they’ve been more than generous to me. Hindi ako nawawalan ng serye with them. Nag-o-overlap pa nga sometimes ang offers.”

It’s no wonder, because she still looks great on and off cam. Her secret?

“Healthy food and I exercise when I have the chance. Three or four times a week of either zumba, spinning or boxing.”

While she’s naturally endowed with fair skin thanks to a combination of American and Chinese DNA, Sunshine said that it’s also being taken cared of regularly by Cathy Valencia.

While Sunshine’s current concentration and market is television, Arnold said that her projects will not be limited to TV only – the actress is very much open to doing films again (but of course with some limitations already) and would readily pursue a singing career again when given the opportunity.

For those who didn’t know yet, Sunshine came from a family of actor-singers and is the cousin of other famous celebrities Sheryl Cruz, Donna Cruz and Geneva Cruz. Veteran actor Tirso Cruz III is her uncle.

Sunshine also said that among her wish list for future TV and Movie projects is to portray a villainous character or a mistress – while she has that natural alluring face usually selected for the so-called “mistress” roles, the actress has never portrayed one in all the films and TV series that she did.

“I’ve been crying a lot in my series, but I’d really want to challenge myself given the chance. I want people to hate me naman, hindi yung lagi na lang kakaawaan.”

Aside from showbiz, Sunshine is also eyeing a masters degree to pursue Clinical Psychology. Unrelated to that however, she also wants to put up her very own restaurant someday. She had some culinary training in the past and a lot of experience as well with the restaurant he and her former husband put up.

Prior to joining ALV, her eldest daughter Angelina already signed up with ALV and Universal Records last December 2016.

The proud mom shares, “Angelina’s very happy and ALV knows Angelina’s priority which is her studies. Singing comes after. Both Universal and Arnold are both understanding and patient, and I’m thankful for that. She’s really excited with her latest single with Iñigo Pascual titled Paraiso.”

Sunshine has two more daughters: Samatha Angeline and Angel Francheska – so Angelina, Angeline and Angel.

A vampire named “Sunshine” “Cruz” and her three lovely “Angels” 🙂
