After the success of Scooby Doo WrestleMania Mystery in 2014, an animated film featuring some of the hottest WWE superstars led by John Cena, AJ Lee, The Miz, Triple H, Santino Marella and Kane, Warner Bros Animation once again renewed their affiliation with WWE Studios with the recent release of Scooby Doo and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon.
Released in the UK and the US two weeks ago via Warner Home Video and WWE Home Video, the new film combined the popular concept of an all-star cartoon race with some good-ol Mystery Machine sleuthing antics.
The new animated movie has more WWE star power than the first one like Michael Cole, Goldust, Stephanie McMahon, Lana, Paige, Diego, El Torito, Fernando, Rusev, Sheamus, (the late) Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston and The Undertaker. Reprising their roles from the first films are Vince McMahon, The Miz and Triple H.
It’s a fun watch, especially when you know that Deadmeat (Scooby Doo) and Skinny Man (Shaggy) are going to be on the race as part of Team Taker (with The Undertaker of course).
You get to also see an upgraded deathrace version of the Mystery Machine PLUS some of The Undertaker’s signature moves like “The Last Ride” and the deadly “Tombstone Piledriver”.
So yeah, a WWE road race with some meddling kids and their dog – why not??!
