GMA Artist Center and four of their youngest and emerging character actors celebrated their birthdays at the Philippine Science Centrum in Marikina last Friday (April 17)  together with the street kids of He Cares Foundation.

Hosted by Tess Bomb, a quick program was held at one of the party conference hall of the museum where birthday celebrants Vincent Magbanua, Carl Acosta, Denzel Santiago and Chelsea Vera played games with their young guests from He Cares and distributed snacks and treats from sponsors San Miguel Purefoods – Jelly Sip, Pandelton, Kambal Pandesal, Zagu, Nyogi and Aquabest.

Carl Acosta

You might remember him on the Cheez Whiz Cheez o’clock TVC and as Billy in the “Billy The Bully” episode of  ‘One Day Isang Araw’ or that cute little boy in ‘Show Me The Manny” with Marian Rivera and Manny Pacquiao.  CARL, now 12 years old and incoming seventh grader is one of the future star of the Kapuso Network.

Denzel Santiago

Denzel is the dancer among the four birthday celebrants.  He started in showbiz doing bit roles in GMA shows and in TV commercials.  Now 13, Denzel is an incoming Eight Grader this year.

Vincent Magbanua

Now 15, he is the eldest among the four birthday celebrants and perhaps the most prolific in terms of film and TV acting projects.  Vincent was discovered in the indie film Palawan Fate (2011), he then appeared in a number of shows in GMA like Magpakailanman, Wagas, Nino, Carmela, Magkano Ba Ang Pag-Ibig, Prinsesa Ng Buhay Ko, Kakambal Ni Eliana, Indio and Parikoy.  He is also part of the 2015 indie film Balut Country and currently doing another indie film called ‘Childhaus’ which is based on the real experiences of children with cancer.  He will be portraying a gay character in this film. Vince is an incoming 2nd year this 2015.

Chelsea Vera

The very pretty Chelsea is one of the newest discoveries of GMA Artist Center.  She’s now 12 years old and has just entered showbiz last year.  She’s currently undergoing some acting workshops with GMA.  Confident and forthright, Chelsea has the making of the next tween star – I hope she can also deliver a wonderful acting performance in her future projects.

After the short program, all four birthday celebrants joined the He Cares Foundation streetkids as they tour around the Philippine Science Centrum.
