COCO FRESH TEA AND JUICE PHILIPPINES ushers in the summer on-the-go experience by opening its first branch in Manila and introducing four new ‘on-the-go’ brand ambassadors!
The brand Coco Fresh Tea and Juice made its humble beginning in Taiwan in a place called Dansui just outside Taipei way back in 1997. The three founders Hung, Kuo and Chen wanted to revive the traditional tea growing and trading in the area targeting the younger generation with bold innovations and a global perspective. They now have over 1,800 stores worldwide.
The very first Coco Fresh Tea and Juice store in the Philippines opened in October 2013 and now they have a total of five stores in operation – Eastwood, SM City Fairview, Fisher Mall, SM Center Angono and just recently SM City Manila.
I was at SM City Manila last Wednesday for the grand opening of their 5th branch here in the Philippines. Located at the 4th level, the Coco Fresh Tea and Juice was in all summer island festive mood packed with people and guests waiting to get a boost of freshness from the biggest tea store in the world.
I thought that the ‘Summer On-The-Go’ concept was perfect for the brand since we are now at a high of 36.2 in Mega Manila and everyone’s out to grab something that’s not only refreshing but also rejuvenating, fresh and delicious. Coco Fresh Tea and Juice have a wide variety of flavors to choose from under the categories Fresh Tea, Fruit Tea, Milk Tea, Juice, Chocolate, and Cream & Latte.
We learned more about the tea flavors from the four new brand ambassadors of Coco Fresh Tea and Juice and they are – athletes Gretchen Ho and Jeron Teng, fashion blogger Laureen Uy, and model LA Aguinaldo.
Gretchen Ho loves Coco’s Lemon Calamansi with Aloe! A refreshing citrus drink that she said is blended with just the right flavor and the right lightness.
Laureen Uy‘s favorite is the Passion Fruit Tea Burst! I’ve tasted this one, and it’s really good. It’s fresh jasmine tea with passion fruit topped with pearl and coconut jelly. Yummy!
Jeron Teng prefers the Lemon Dunk! And like what it said on the name – a whole lemon dunked on a tasty tea. I’ve tasted this one as well and it’s really an invigorating drink.
LA Aguinaldo on the other hand has the 3 Buddies flavor as an after gig cool down drink. It’s a black tea based milk tea topped with pudding, pearl and grass jelly. I think this is the first milk tea flavor that we, Filipinos fell in love with.
Another drink that I’ve tried and instantly fell in love with during the event is their Matcha Tea Latte. Awesome!
“We want everyone to know that every day can be as exciting, fun and free, as the summer season,” said Coco Fresh Tea and Juice Philippines manager Larry Evans. “That feeling you get when summer comes, that feeling does not necessarily have to end. With Coco Tea’s drinks, we want our customers to enjoy summer goodness whenever they want to.”
The Coco Fresh Tea and Juice SM City Manila grand opening event was hosted by Chris Everingham of the Philippine Volcanoes.
