It’s been a long time since I last visited SM City Sta. Mesa, I went there with my daughter SKY yesterday to have lunch at Wendy’s.
Not much has changed since the last time I was there but one thing I’ve noticed is that four days after the historic Papal Visit here in the Philippines, the Pope Francis fever is still burning bright inside ‘the mall’ at the center of Manila, San Juan and Quezon City.
You’ll find close to the main entrance two religious-cultural exhibits. The first one is called ‘Pundasyon’ which is a photo exhibit of selected old churches here in the Philippines.
The second exhibit is a collection of Papal Stamps from PhilPost featuring Saint Pope John Paul II who visited the country in 1981 and 1985, Pope Paul VI in 1970 and of course Pope Francis.
Also found at the first and second floor these Papal Visit 2015 gift shops which sells mostly shirts, caps, mugs, umbrellas and the usual souvenir stuff.
After checking out what’s new, Sky and I grabbed an awesome lunch at Wendy’s – we ordered the Chicken Fillet Combo meals with Iced Tea and Fries. Wendy’s is one of the oldest fast food establishment here at SM City Sta. Mesa, this restaurant has been here since I can remember.

Oh, the reason we’re having lunch here is because Sky has a three-hour vacant period in school before their dance performance for the grand opening of the Social Security Systems (SSS) office in Sta. Mesa.
