Smartwatch ruled this year’s Consumer Electronic Show or CES 2015!

The International Consumer Electronic Show (CES) is a global consumer electronics and consumer technology tradeshow that takes place every January in Las Vegas, Nevada.  From the latest in smart phones, smart helmets to smart cars, it’s all there.

Taking the biggest spotlight in CES 2015 are the newest smartwatches, here are my top 5 favorites:

Sony SmartWatch 3

Smartwatch

The new stainless steel version of the Sony SmartWatch has the same features of the first SmartWatch 3.  The SmartBand on the other hand is a fitness tracker designed by Jack Vartanian, Ted Baker and Roxy.  Nothing spectacularly new on the inside but something flashy on the outside.

MOTA SmartWatch G2 Lite

Smartwatch

This watch is like a hybrid of the Samsung Gear Fit and Nike FuelBand – also known as a SmartRing, it run on a sleek low power OLED screen with integrated speakers, bluetooth 3.0 connection and voice control mic.  It connects to your smartphone for discreet vibrating notifications from calls and texts, to specific person alerts.  The ring will display it all so there’s no need to take your phone out, unless you want to.

KRONOZ ZeWatch2

Smartwatch

ZeWatch2 is a wrist device that tracks activity, delivers notifications and offers an integrated speaker. It will notify you when you have an incoming call and allow you to answer it, as well as let you read your messages and other alerts.

LENOVO Vibe Band VB10

Smartwatch

Vibe Band VB10 displays notifications for calls, texts, social media and more via Bluetooth 4.0 LE connection, allowing for 150 characters on the E Link display at any one time.  VB10 works with iOS and Android smartphones, claims a seven-day battery life despite being always on, while also offering water resistance.

GUESS

Guess joins the smart watch bandwagon and partners with US SmartWatch maker ‘Martian’ to come out with their first line of smart watches which carries the same design as the Guess Rigor incorporated with a digital notification window at the bottom of the face.  Issue voice commands and take calls.  You may also customize it using the iOS or Android app.

Montblanc e-Strap

Another great innovation introduced during CES 2015 is the Montblanc e-Strap!

This wrist wearable converts any watch into a SmartWatch offering a second face for more information on your wrist.  It is made from leather with a carbon fibre texture and features a 0.9-inch 128 x 36 resolution OLED touchscreen in a unit made from diamond-like carbon-coated steel.

The e-Strap will track the wearer’s daily activity and it offers a screen and vibration for phone notifications via Bluetooth 4.0, including calls, messages, calendars, social media, reminders, plus you can use it to control the phone’s music player or camera.

And that’s a WRAP.
