The Weinstein Company recently released the official trailer of Tim Burton’s new film – BIG EYES.
‘Big Eyes’, set to come out on the 25th of December is a biopic of Margaret Keane (played by Amy Adams) whose paintings of children with exaggerated eyes became a hot item during the mid-50s and the 60s. Her husband, Walter Keane (played by Christoph Waltz) took all the credits for her work claiming that no one would ever buy a portrait made by a woman.
Burton, known for films that are highly artistic, dark and often gothic in nature, goes back-to-basic drama in this period film. However, you’ll see in the trailer a little bit of that old signature Burton style incorporated in some of the scenes, as if the actual portraits are not enough. This is the director’s first live-action film since Dark Shadows (2012).
Big Eyes also stars Danny Huston, Jason Schwartzman, Krysten Ritter and Terence Stamp.
