Weeks after its soft opening, SUMOSAM OLYMPIA located at the Lower Ground Floor of Somerset’s Tower D along the corners of Sto. Tomas and Makati Avenue and just across Ayala Triangle formally held its grand opening yesterday night (April 12) with an all-out Japanese Buffet Dinner Party.
Showcasing its newest concept that suits its ‘Big is Beautiful’ 300 sqm location right at the heart of the busy Central Business District of Makati. SUMOSAM OLYMPIA is a remarkable and refreshing departure from its usual casual fast-dining stores and introduces a new take on Japanese All-You-Can-Eat Buffet which according to part-owner and celebrity Chef Marvin Agustin, is a precursor to SUMOSAM’s vision of creating the BIGGEST Japanese Buffet Restaurant experience in the country.
SUMOSAM OLYMPIA is divided into 3 function areas that can be enclosed and booked separately or altogether as an events venue. Event package for a 4-hour program starts at a fully consumable and rent-free rate of 45,000 pesos which includes 2 parking spaces, free corkage for 4 bottles of wine or liquor, free corkage for cakes, menu tags and table candles. Packages can also be customized for a full dinner and cocktail set menu options for as low as 450 pesos per guest. Valet parking is also available.
Here’s a quick visual tour of SUMOSAM OLYMPIA:
“The look of our restaurants depends on its location and what our guests ask for. For a time now, we’ve always wanted to have a bigger space to accomodate our guests’ requests to celebrate with a larger group in the restaurant and now they finally can.” SumoSam General Manager ADOLF ARAN JR. says
SumoSam Olympia can accommodate up to 150 guests. The whole restaurant is a masterpiece from the pebble-based see-through flooring to the ceiling built with 10,000 light bulbs.
Most fascinating than the location itself is SUMOSAM’s newest idea for a dining experience. The OLYMPIA branch is offering a daily All-You-Can-Eat buffet for only 499 pesos per person for lunch and dinner. The SumoSam buffet table offers a selection of fresh salads, their best tasting sushi, hot ramen, delectable unlimited tempura and delicious desserts to everyone’s delight.
Aside from their usual best-sellers, SumoSam Olympia also serves breakfast for those who want a delicious and healthy start before their busy office routine. Or you can also have your food delivered to your office or home-office.
SUMOSAM OLYMPIA is also a wine and dine location with a carefully selected wine list, cocktail drinks that are especially concocted for SumoSam and a late bar menu that encourages guests to relax and enjoy the posh interiors till late.
SumoSam Olympia is the 25th branch of partners MARVIN AGUSTIN, RAYMUND MAGDALUYO and RICKY LAUDICO. SumoSam’s first branch was opened way back in 2005 and they remain to be one of the leading Japanese Restaurant here in the Philippines. Here is MARVIN AGUSTIN leading the ceremonial sushi cutting:
Also spotted during the grand opening is singer Gerald Santos who performed one song during the event.
CONGRATULATIONS! SUMOSAM OLYMPIA! The wonderful store concept complements the awesome SumoSam dishes!
