The new offering this year from the C series of realme brings more POWER to the people!

Their latest is the C12 which targets the youth and broad C, D and E market and surprises them with more value for their money by equipping the unit with a 6000mAh mega battery.

This is my first C-series phone from realme and I am going to cut down to the chase and give you the bottomline – the realme C12 (unit + charger) is launched in the Philippines with a price tag of only 5,990 Pesos.

Unboxing realme C12

Now I am not sure if production costs are going down or if the brand is just too aggressive to capture the market but what I can tell you is that I’ve owned phones that costs more but with far inferior specs.

I have on hand the Marine Blue variant of the C12, and just like the recently launched C15, the unit is geometric in design with a smudge-free gradient finish plus the trapezoid divides the back cover into three areas with different angles of lines, bringing out the colors with different gradations. As the view angle changes, the color and light in every area also change.

The camera lens and flash are arranged neatly in a beautiful square frame right beside a fingerprint sensor that offers the instant fingerprint unlock option for added security. It’s that good-looking!

But nowadays you don’t just buy a cellphone because it looks good – it should perform well also. Are the cameras okay? Will it complement my HD videos? Will it support all my games? Is it affordable?

realme C12 can answer a BIG yes to all those questions!

CAMERA

A 13MP AI Nightscape Triple Camera at the rear provides you with amazing flexibility when it comes to taking photos, day or night. It also offers faster focus, 4x zoom and an aperture of f2.2 for clearer and brighter shots even at low light environments.

realme C12 also provides you with a 4cm super close focus 2MP Macro Lens as well as a beautiful 2MP B&W Lens that is sure to bring more drama on your portrait shots.

The 5MP selfie camera is surprisingly better that the other 5MP front camera I’ve tried.

DISPLAY

The realme C12 is equipped with a 6.5-inch 20:9 mini-drop fullscreen, a larger field of view for a more immersive game and video play. Using the newly upgraded stack process which allows users to enjoy a large screen (88.7% screen ratio) with less visual disturbance.

PERFORMANCE

Powered by MediaTek Helio G35 processor, the C12 is one of the fastest, if not the fastest in its category. It is ideal for mainstream smartphone users and gamers because it can handle most mid-to-heavy widely-used apps and games.

The 3GB RAM and 32GB Internal Storage combo makes it a formidable gaming tool.

realme C12 runs on a realme UI based on Android 10.

BATTERY

And as I mentioned earlier, realme C12 has a 6000mAh battery capacity which based on studies can make your phone last up to 57 days on Stand-By Mode. But of course you’re going to need to use that phone so just look at these figures:

  • Phone Call (Non-Stop) – up to 46 hours
  • Spotify (Non-Stop) – up to 60 hours
  • PUBG (Non-Stop) – up to 10 hours
  • Instagram (Non-Stop) – up to 24 hours
  • YouTube (Non-Stop) – up to 28 hours

Imagine 28 hours of non-stop BTS! 🙂

The battery also has reverse charging capabilities -it’s a phone and a powerbank.

Now I think with those specs, 5,990 pesos is a fair price already! Aside from Marine Blue, realme C12 also comes in a Coral Red variant.
