Palo Alto Networks announces today the arrival of PRISMA in the Philippines, a new cloud security suite that aims to give customers what they need to consistently govern digital access, protect data, and secure applications.
Known as a global cybersecurity leader, Palo Alto Networks continue to shape the cloud-centric future with technology that addresses the world’s greatest security challenges.
They practically invented the 2nd generation firewall and is now working on the NEXT.
RedLock, GlobalProtect and Aperture are the known trademarks attributed to Palo Alto Networks all characterized with the latest breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, analytics, automation, and orchestration.
Present during the launch and media briefing earlier are Orcun Tezel, Senior Director of Systems Engineering, Asia Pacific Palo Alto Networks, Oscar Visaya, Country Manager of Palo Alto Networks Philippines, and Robert Cosme, Systems Engineering Manager of Palo Alto Networks Philippines.
PRISMA according to Visaya, is the most complete and comprehensive cloud security suite. And with approxinately 9,000 enterprise currently on board, it has become also the largest cloud security business in the world.
Visaya said that in the Asia Pacific region many are now engaged in cloud transformation but not so much into the security aspect of it. The objective is always to go fast but managing risks is always out of the equation.
But speed requires simplicity, and Visaya talked about three areas in cloud transformation that needs to be employed:
1. Consistent Visibility and Control
2. Tight Integration
3. Analytics Driving
PRISMA is envisioned as a unified platform bringing together several cybersecurity platforms to make cloud security complete.
The suite consists of four key components:
Secure access to the cloud for branch offices and mobile users anywhere in the world with a scalable network. The system is soon to run on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Customers wil also have access to a streamlined cloud management user interface. In addition, it will include capabilities specifically designed for service providers to enable rapid provisioning of secure outbound internet connectivity for their customers.
Prisma Public Cloud
This provides continuous visibility, security, and compliance monitoring across public multi-cloud deployments. Powered by AI, it correlates data and assesses risk across the cloud environment. Customers can further reduce their attack surface early in the development cycle through a “shift left” aproach to security. With the ability to detect vulberabilities and fix improper configurations in customers’ infrastructure-as-code templates, developers can reduce risk without sacrificing agility.
A multi-code cloud access security broker servicr that safely enables SaaS application adoption. It provides advanced capabilities in risk discovery, adaptive access control, data loss prevention, compliance assurance, data governance, user behavior monitoring, and advanced threat prevention.
The virtualized form factor of the Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewall that can be deployed in private and public cloud computing environments. It is also enhanced through infrastructure-as-code automation for deployment and configuration, which reduces complexity for customers.
Prisma Access, Prisma Public Cloud. Prisma SaaS, and the VM- Series are now available here in the Philippines. For more info visit www.paloaltonetworks.com/prisma
