The 5th season of San Miguel Purefoods Home Foodie will take host couple Iya Villania and Drew Arellano out of the studio kitchen to fresh ambiance and on location.

Together with chefs Liena Tan-Arcenas (Yen), Martin Narisma and John Valley, Home Foodie will have the awesome and refreshing view of the Sierra Madre Mountain as its kitchen backdrop.

Airing its first episode on June 10, 2019, the show will feature its usual madalicious and affordalicious resto-inspired classic meals with a twist and more.

Drew will be roaming around the city to talk to Home Foodie viewers and netizens.

The Home Foodie Season 5 launch held at the San Miguel Purefoods Culinary Center today featured delicious new dishes:

  • Chicken and Mussels Paella
  • Sisig Fried Rice
  • Creamy Pork BBQ and Mushrooms Pasta
  • Homemade Burgers
  • Tokwa and TJ
  • Chili Chicken
  • Cookies and Cream Polvoron
  • Chewy Chocolate Fudge

My favorites are the Tokwa and TJ and Sisig Fried Rice.

These delicious dishes will be featured in the 5th Season of the show where Drew and Iya will not only host but also do the actual cooking.

Drew said that the show transformed her wife Iya from being a caterpillar in the kitchen to a beautiful cooking butterfly.

During the interview, Iya said that she considers Home Foodie’s Chef Yen as a mentor not only in the kitchen but also as a wonderful health adviser.

When asked about dishes that the celebrity host couple prepared that the other didn’t liked, Iya said that there hasn’t been a dish that Drew prepared that she did not like.

Drew on the other hand appreciates Iya’s perseverance in learning new things in the kitchen.

Home Foodie Season 5 airs from Monday to Friday, after Unang Hirit beginning June 10.
