AICELLE SANTOS is finally back in the Philippines.

After touring as part of the cast of Miss Saigon in the UK for a year, GMA Artist Center’s homegrown singer-performer Aicelle Santos is back in Manila and the local TV and stage scene.

Aicelle played the iconic role of Gigi in Cameron Mackintosh’s epic stage musical – a part originally held by another exceptional Filipina stage performer, Isay Alvarez. Rachelle Ann Go also played Gigi in the recent West End revival and Broadway productions.

“Playing Gigi was a personal, spiritual, and professional journey for me,” Aicelle shared. “It taught me a lot about myself as a person and as an actor. I became more disciplined because of our daily shows that required physical and mental focus.”

Now that she’s home, Aicelle is also back to performing on stage starting with the 2019 restaging of the 1977 pop rock opera ballet “Tales of the Manuvu” which showcases the folk tales of the Manobo tribe in Mindanao. Presented by Ballet Philippines, the show will run until March 31 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Pasay City.

She is also set to maker her TV comeback this April as a regular host of GMA’s musical variety show, STUDIO 7. Apart from these, fans can once again catch her reprise her role as Elsa in the rerun of Himala: Isang Musical.

Another thing she’s very much excited about is going back to the recording studios, making music and above everything else, planning for her dream wedding!

Thanks GMA Artist Center and to Presscon sponsors Sapporo Noodles, Dentiste and Afficionado.
