It’s time to admit that it was Uzamaki Naruto who introduced me to Ramen and that the extent of my knowledge about the different kinds of Ramen dish up until last last week is limited only to Shio (Salt-Based) and Shoyu (Soy Sauce-based).

And before tasting “real” Ramen, my orientation of it was it’s either available in Chicken, Beef or Seafoods and under the Nissin brand 😂

Well I am no expert but what I do know is that being a picky eater, there are some Ramen that don’t taste right for me and some that feels like heaven – just like the Red Ramen at Butamaru in Westgate Center Filinvest Alabang.

Butamaru is the newest home grown Ramen house in Alabang. A two-floor cozy food establishment that actually looks a lot like a Ramen house in Japan.

It’s a hidden gem inside the Westgate Center.

What I first loved about Butamaru is the short menu which consists of mainly 7 types of Ramen – Shio, Shoyu, Miso, Tantanmen, Curry Tantanmen, Ramen Salad and of course the awesomely spicy Red Ramen.

I like restaurants with short and uncomplicated menu choices. 👍

The Red Ramen has just the right amount of spices and a big delicious slice of Chashu.

Aside from the Red Ramen, I also tried their Takana Chahan Japanese Rice and Ebi Mayo which are both so exquisite both in appearance and taste.

What’s more awesome about Butamaru is their price which are surprisingly much lower than what you’d expect in a Ramen house.
