From singing at weddings to finally writing her own songs and launching an OPM recording career, 22 year-old Fil-Canadian singer Brina Marasigan is finally breaking out of her shell and making her talent shine.
Known as Brina Mars to friends and fans, this young wedding singer who also performs live every week with her band “SkyFall” at Nautilus is taking another big step to achieve her dream of sharing her brand of music and talent to the world.
Last week Brina Mars formally launched her first original single called “Till We’re Both Alright” together with a music video. The single will be part of an upcoming 6-track EP – five of which she wrote herself plus her version of the South Border song “Kahit Kailan.”
She was actually granted exclusive rights to cover the song “Kahit Kailan” a few years back by songwriter Jay Durias.
Till We’re Both Alright is a highly sentimental love song that’s worthy of getting heard in Teleseryes and Korea Novelas. Hearing Brina Mars sing slow songs reminded me of Nina – but surprisingly, her musical influences are very far from what she actually sounds like.
Check out her Live Performances and Raw Interview Here:
While waiting for the EP to come out, you can catch Brina Mars perform Live with her band Skyfall every Friday at the Nautilus Bar at the Prime hotel in Quezon City.
