PANCAKE HONG is the Philippines’ new Korean girl on the block – and she just started a Vlog.

Hong Su-Bin got the nickname “Pancake” from a tutor when she was still a very young girl – and like most unique nicknames, she was stuck with it up until today.

She was born in South Korea but she studied and finished her bachelor’s degree here in the Philippines before going back to her homeland to work as a TV entertainment reporter for 4 years. While she don’t speak well with a local tongue, all the years she spent here in the country made her more well-acquainted with the Filipino culture.

Pancake also carries an international beauty pageant title when she represented South Korea and won Miss Young International at the age of 20. Sadly though, she wasn’t able to pursue that path because her parents wanted her to concentrate and finish her studies first.

But the entertainment scene is in her blood – that’s why she came back here in the Philippines to continue pursuing her passion.

Her first big break in the local entertainment scene was when GMA Network got her a bit role in the series “My Korean Jagiya” which starred Heart Evangelista and  Alexander Lee Eusebio.

Just recently, Pancake Hong launched her very own YouTube Channel and Vlog. For her first episode, she was able to interview her favorite Filipino hip hop group Ex Battalion. The episode was divided into two parts.

Pancake, through her Vlog, plans to not only document her interviews with Filipino personalities but also her experiences visiting the different places in the country. Her main goal is to introduce Filipino artists and personalities to Korean audiences and hopefully make way for these artists to get their artistry across the Korean border.

Pancake is also open to the idea of improving her acting skills and accepting TV or movie projects in the future. She understands that there is a limited chance of her getting the perfect role since she’s Korean and is not yet that good in speaking the local language but she believes that nothing is impossible when you are committed to your dreams.

Pancake is also open to the possibility of taking TV entertainment reporting here in the Philippines since she already got the skill set for that particular career path.
