GRINGO Chicken and Ribs Restaurant just formally launched its 10th and biggest branch yet.

The new Gringo outlet is located at the recently built O Square 2 building in the continuously evolving Greenhills Shopping Center in San Juan, Metro Manila. Formerly the location of the open parking area in Ortigas where people used to watch the Christmas show, O Square 2 is an extension of the shopping center that will house more restaurants and other establishments.

The Greenhills branch is the second outlet with private dining options after its Legaspi Village Makati branch. The main dining hall which exposes the bar and kitchen has a maximum seated capacity of 80 while the function room at the right side elevated part of the restaurant adds 70 more and imbibes a more formal dining mood. But over-all, this huge new branch spells-out P-A-R-T-Y, and they do have options for that too.

The whole concept is of course brought to us through the innovative mind of restaurateur and president of the Mc Wilson Group of Restaurants Reagan Tan and his team.

“Gringo continues to make its lip-smacking Mexican-Latin feast for families, friends and groups one that is hard to forget. Now that our Greenhills branch is open, Gringo is even more ready to host all kinds of events, whether big or small,” said Tan.

And he’s right, the 10th Gringo branch in Greenhills is like the best after-work spot in the area where you can just unwind and let loose by yourself, with a partner or the whole gang.

Gringo Greenhills offers a great selection of booze and cocktails that goes well with their signature dishes – chicken and ribs.

The Chicken comes in two mouthwatering varieties – Original and Southern Spice. The former is covered in traditional Mexican-Latin spices and then grilled to perfection; the latter comes with a distinctly Southern American blend of herbs and spices.

But the real secret is in the sauces. The Lemon herb sauce is the all-around dip, a perfect mix of herbs and spices with a fruity lemony flavor. The Hot and Spicy sauce sets you on the right appetite – it’s so spicy that you’ll really need all the booze you can grab.

There are of course, more dishes offered on the menu. I recommend you try their Mucho Nachos, Burritos, Tacos, Shrimps and Lemon Garlic Butter Crab.

GRINGO Chicken and Ribs is in its full expansion mode this year. Aside from the Greenhills O Square 2 outlet, I saw recently that they’ll be opening soon at SM City Manila – and I am so stoked because one of my favorite resto is going to be just a couple of meters away from home.

Here’s a list of their other branches:

  • SM North EDSA, The Block
  • SM Megamall
  • SM Sucat
  • MOA Annex
  • Legaspi Village Makati
  • BGC
  • Ayala Malls The 30th
  • UP Town Center
