World Cyber Arena in cooperation with Huawei Technologies Philippines Inc. launched yesterday (November 18) THE FACE OFF e-sports DotA2 competition at the Bonifacio High Street Activity Center featuring the top gamers in the Philippines Team Execration and Team Happy Feet.
The whole event includes three gaming competitions, four sets of street dancing, three onsite raffle draws where registered participants are able to take home some cool prizes from Huawei.
e-gamers Riku HQ and Justin “Vill” Villaseran hosted the event with Shin Boo “Sh1nBoo” Ponferrada and Caisem Yvez “Wolf” Nopueto acting as e-sports commentators giving the blow-by-blow action and updates.
THE FACE OFF event also features booths from Video app-Clipz, Gamepad, Globe “Mobile Legends”, and the Huawei booth showcasing Huawei Nova2i and the Huawei ViDplus Mobile app service.
According to Mr. Richard Chang, head of Huawei Philippines Consumer Cloud Service, ViDplus is the Philippines’ latest video streaming services where you can enjoy movies, videos, music videos, as well as high rated documentaries and Chinese entertainment.
Also highlighted in yesterday’s event is that ViDplus will now have exclusive World Cyber Arena competition video contents throughout the year.
“We want gamers to try our content and staging The Face Off game between Exercation and Happy Feet is a great way to promote our content and increase interest among Filipino gaming fans,” said Mr. Edison Le, Huawei Regional Head of Video Team.
Also present during the event is Mr. Devon Zhang, the International Department General Manager of World Cyber Arena (WCA) who explained the significant role of the organization in the standardization of the eSports industry in the world.
A perfect partner for the ViDplus app, Huawei introduced its Nova2i to event expectators yesterday.
