AirAsia partners with World Vision to celebrate the season of giving through a joint Christmas fundraising and awareness building campaign for the benefit of Filipino children.

Launched yesterday (November 18) at the Arctic Bay and Hall of H2O Hotel Manila, the SEE THE WORLD campaign is aimed at raising at least one million pesos to provide sponsorship program for as many Filipino child beneficiaries as possible.



For every AirAsia seats booked or sold in the Philippines from December 1 to 31, this year, five (5) pesos will be automatically donated to World Vision Child Sponsorship Program.

World Vision Philippines National Director Rommel Fuerte, meanwhile, said,

“As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of World Vision here in the Philippines, we are very thankful to have this milestone partnership with AirAsia Philippines. With this significant initiative, we can ensure that every peso that will be donated to World Vision will help a lot of underprivileged Filipino children attain their dreams.”

AirAsia Regional Chief Operating Officer Pete Chareonwongsak said,

Joining the grand launch of the SEE THE WORLD initiative are World Vision Philippines ambassadors Asiansation Christian Bautista, rapper Quest and DJ/Host Gelli Victor.

World Vision Philippines Media and Communications Director Gjeff Lamigo also explains how the Child Sponsorship Program of the organization works to help uplift the lives of many Filipino children and families.

Aside from fundraising efforts, SEE THE WORLD will feature inspiring stories of children from impoverished communities around the country whose lives have changed and caused other children and communities to aspire for better living conditions.

AirAsia Philippines will run a web series online and available in AirAsiaPhilippines facebook starting November 20.
