MATTEO GUIDICELLI is now ready to bring his passion for music to a different level as he conquers the Kia Theater stage this coming November 30 for the official album launch concert of “Hey Matteo”!
Two days ago at the BHotel Tent in Quezon City, Matteo talks to various media outfits to formally introduce the singer-perfomer side of Matteo Guidicelli. Together with his band, he played three original songs from his 10-track album including the carrier single “Hey” which was released in September. The other two songs he performed are “10,000 Days” (which he says is equivalent to around 27 years, his current age) and my favorite “Wag Ka Nang Umuwi”.
While he did not personally wrote the songs in his debut album, Matteo however revealed that he was hands-on in choosing which songs will be included and even took part in the conceptualization of some of the songs.
All the songs have that 90s OPM Rock feel on it, exactly how Matteo envisioned the whole album. It’s almost like a theme, where he wanted it to be as raw as possible – just strings, drums, bass and a kicka$$ melody.
He’s not giving up acting of course, but with this new path he’s threading, he considers it as an opportunity for him to grow in his passion for performing and also to share to his fans a side of him that they don’t often see in the screen.
With regards to the concert on the 30th, Matteo and his band will be performing covers inspired by the music that he grew up with and all the original songs from his album.
Guests includes Kiana Valenciano, Loonie and Morisette Amon. It’s still not clear if Sarah Geronimo will be coming up on the stage or will just be there as part of the audience. Matteo was keen on not revealing too much information about the event so as not to spoil the surprises.
“Hey Matteo” is produced by Big Bang Productions. Catch Matteo Guidicelli live in concert on November 30 , 7:30pm at the Kia Theater. Tickets are available via Ticketnet (www.ticketnet.com.ph) or call 911-5555.
