Filipino American Actor and Model IVAN DORSCHNER dressed up in his Eagle Scout and Scout Master’s uniform visited the headquarters of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines in Manila last Monday to celebrate his 27th birthday among his fellow scouts.
You can tell the excitement and joy on Ivan’s face as he enters the room where dozens of scouts greeted him with a birthday song while making his way to the front to join event host Tess Bomb.
During a casual interview right after the program, Ivan shared that he was delighted to see his fellow scouts and was a bit overwhelmed with the warm welcome from his brother and sister scouts here in the Philippines. He said that this is one moment in his life that he will forever cherish.
He even promised the young scouts that he will think of a way to organize a camp out event with them.
Ivan said that the event last Monday which was organized by his GMA Artist Center family in cooperation with Goldilocks, Folded and Hung, Xcess Salon and JC Catering, brought back a lot of wonderful memories from when he was a scout in the US.
He was able to receive the highest rank of Eagle Scout after earning a certain number of required merit badges.
The young scouts who were present during the event prepared for him a specially designed clap which they called “The Ivan Clap” and afterwards a short group performance of that trending “Baby Shark” nursery song.
Ivan also joined the scouts for a delicious boodle fight meal!
Ivan distributed gift items and loot bags to the scouts at the end of the program.
Ivan, who first appeared as a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010 signed with GMA Artist Center earlier this year and was immediately picked as one of the cast of the recently concluded top-rated afternoon TV series “Meant To Be” together with Barbie Forteza, Ken Chan, Jak Roberto and Addy Raj.
He has this to say about his experience in being part of the show:
He also added that he looks forward to working with the cast and the whole production team of “Meant To Be” again.
Right now, Ivan is going to be busy with a documentary project that will focus on various specialty (or odd) jobs here in the Philippines – the output will be circulated online via YouTube.
He has a couple of upcoming projects as well that he couldn’t announce the details yet. But as an actor, his wish is to one day have a project that will ask him to portray a character similar to Matt Bomer’s “Neal Caffrey” in the USA Network TV Series “White Collar”. A stylish art thief and a master con artist.
So that’s it about Ivan for now, I am pretty sure that we will be seeing more of him in the coming months and next year. Enjoy watching all the YouTube clips of his birthday event and our exclusive interview below – and oh, don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE for more updates!
