Ido Sa Kusina’s Chef Pablo “Boy” Logro celebrated his birthday early last Thursday (June 22) at his 7 Flavors Buffet Restaurant in San Juan together with his GMA Artist Center family and selected beneficiaries of the ChildFund Organization.

Chef Boy, as he is fondly called by friends and in the industry, will turn 61 this coming June 29. He’s known as the “Kusina Master” of Philippine showbiz and the Chef Host of the longest-running and award-winning cooking show on television “Idol Sa Kusina” (since July 3, 2011) together with cooking partner Bettina Carlos.

Chef Boy was the first Filipino Executive Chef of the Manila Diamond Hotel. His first showbiz appearance was as judge of the 2011 GMA Network produced cooking game show “Kitchen Superstar.”

His life story has inspired many to dream –  a young man born into poverty who never finished school but was able to work outside of the country and learn the art of culinary from the masters that he has worked with. With nothing but sheer determination and his passion for cooking, Chef Boy was able to withstand hardships, ridicule and discrimination.

He returns to his country as a self-made man blessed with countless of businesses and properties in and out of Metro Manila and a family that supports him all the way.

The 7 Flavors Buffet Restaurant from where he celebrated his advance birthday party is a product of his partnership with good friend Mr. Keneth Hung.

Representing Mr. Hung, and relaying well-wishes for Chef Boy Logro during the event is Mr. Albert Borja, the Chief Operating Officer of 7 Flavors Buffet in San Juan.

Here are some of the dishes that were prepared for the guests by 7 Flavors Buffet:

The birthday event was hosted by Tess Bomb and TOP’s Joshua Jacobe and co-sponsored by Goldilocks and King Cup Sardines.

Majority of Chef Boy’s business ventures were in Davao. But here in Manila and aside from the 7 Flavors Buffet, Chef Boy also has a Culinary School in Cavite. From his income he was also able to help build a church in Compostela Valley, where he also have a farm and a branch of his culinary school.

All the best to you Chef Boy and more blessings to come!
