SANGOBION IRON +, the multi-vitamins and mineral brand that advocates against Iron-Deficiency Anemia (IDA) is back with a bigger campaign this year with #SulongDugongPinoy that aims to gather the biggest crowd to have their blood tested for anemia on April 8 (Saturday) at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.
The announcement was made during a special media launch held last Tuesday (March 21) at Romulo’s Cafe in Quezon City.
I already had my blood checked during the media launch and I got 15 g/dl which they said is normal for my age.
Present during the event were Merck Marketing Director Ming Arroyo-Cunanan, Dr. Christie Monina Nalupta, Director of the Philippine Red Cross National Blood Services and Dr. Corazon Zaida Gamilla, Chairperson of the UST Hospital Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology who discussed some important information about IDA and how Sangobion IRON + can help prevent the disease.
Dr. Gamilla said that according to the World Health Organization (WHO) that 2 billion of the world’s population ar suffering from anemia and 50% of which are attributed to IDA.
Iron is the mineral that helps the blood transport oxygen throughout the body. It is therefore very important to maintain both physical and mental health. The lack of it may result to the following symptoms:
- Lack of focus (concentration)
- Low immune system
All these symptoms leads to decrease productivity and a lower quality of life and even to more detrimental diseases.
What Sangobion IRON + does to the body is prevent or treat a prevailing IDA. It is a tailored formulation of Organic iron (Ferrous Gluconate) with Vitamin C, Folic Acid, Vit B12, Copper Sulfate and Manganese Sulfate that can effectively prevent and treat anemia.
Aside from promoting healthy blood, Sangobion IRON + is gentler on the stomach (less gastro intestinal discomforts than with Ferrous Sulfate) and it contains sobitol that acts as a laxative to prevent constipation. It also tastes better than the other brands.
“We have been helping men and women from across the country fight anemia with Sangobion, and I’m happy to say that we’ve been successful. That’s why we think that now is the time to start elevating the brand’s purpose. It’s more than just treating anemia, it’s about maintaining healthy blood to empower every Filipino. Our vision is a blood-healthy Philippines.” Cunanan said of Sangobion’s plans this year.
To boost the #SulongDugongPinoy campaign further, Sangobion IRON + celebrity ambassador SARAH GERONIMO graced the media launch to show her support and also to announce that she will be having a special show on April 8 during program at SM Mall of Asia together with the bands “The Daw” and “KJWAN.”
The new Sangobion IRON + TV commercial will also be screened for the first time during the event.
“There really are a lot of amazing things coming for Sangobion.” Sarah enthusiastically told the crowd. “I’m inviting everyone to join us sa Saturday, April 8 po, at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall for the Sulong Dugong Pinoy Blood Health Event sponsored by Sangobion of course, and supported po ng Philippine Red Cross.” Major activities like the official TVC premiere will take place, all to kickstart the Sangobion Sulong Dugong Pinoy campaign.
The media launch event was hosted by Patty Laurel Filart.
