FEARLESS celebrity Chefs and real-life couple Rolando (Lau) and Jackie Laudico describes the “Chef Laudico” brand as food made and served with a lot of love!

Last year in November, the very first CHEF LAUDICO’S FEAST Buffet Restaurant opened its doors to foodies in the province of Pampanga!

Conveniently located at the ground level of BPO 1 in SM City Clark, the restaurant is able to accommodate up to a hundred and eighty (180) customers in one seating.

After testing the waters for almost 5 Months, the buffet restaurant is now ready to formally introduce itself to the food-loving communities in Pampanga. And so that’s what they did last Sunday (March 19) – Chefs Lau and Jackie gathered friends and partners in the afternoon to inaugurate CHEF LAUDICO’S FEAST.

I was personally invited by the couple chefs to witness the grand occasion and sample the dishes that they serve in their first buffet restaurant. SM Clark Pampanga is such a very far away place for a buffet treat from the Laudicos but the long trip was well worth it!

The concept of CHEF LAUDICO’S FEAST is no different from any other buffet restaurant. It’s probably not as huge as the ones found in big hotels that serve up to 300 dishes but Chef Lau said during the interview that aside from variety, what the restaurant is really after are the quality of dishes that they want to offer to diners.

Aside from their signature Filipino dishes, CHEF LAUDICO’S FEAST offers both Asian and Western dishes – from Pizza to Sushi, from French, Chinese to Korean delicacies – they have a great selection of dishes inspired by food from all over the world.

But what the Chef Laudico brand is really proud of with this buffet restaurant (as with all the other restaurants that they own) are in the way they prepare or cook the food. Here’s are bullets from my conversation with the two chefs during the inauguration:

  • Food is prepared the traditional way – no shortcut and back-to-basics
  • All Natural – no MSG and any other artificial flavor enhancers were used in all the food that they serve
  • 99% of the ingredients are locally sourced and fresh

“Food is prepared with a lot of love,” Chef Lau added.

With all these things considered and part of the over-all philosophy of the Chef Laudico brand, it’s not hard to imagine that food preparation would take a little more time and sourcing out of ingredients will be a little bit more challenging.

But Chef Lau and Jac has been doing these for many years already. And before going to the restaurant business, they were also caterers and still are today, so managing buffets is definitely a walk in the park for the both of them. Experience is really on their side.

There’s no need to describe what their food tastes like – if you’ve been to any of their food establishments in Manila and the events they have catered, you’ll know that it’s one of the best.

“It doesn’t matter if you pay 3,000 or 100 Pesos for your meals, as long as you come out of the place happy and satisfied, that’s what you call VALUE FOR MONEY,” Chef Lau concluded.
