If there’s one word to describe UNIQLO – it’s comfort!
Contrary to popular belief, style is not everything – and those who wear comfort are always in style! The clothes you wear should satisfy you first more than anyone else.
With this in mind, UNIQLO has recreated the LifeWear brand that expresses who you are and what you believe in. These are apparels that emanates from the Japanese values of simplicity, quality and longevity. A continuously evolving concept that brings more warmth, more lightness, better design and better comfort.
Last Thursday, UNIQLO launched their LifeWear Spring/Summer 2017 collection held at WhiteSpace in Chino Roces, Makati City. In attendance are some of Manila’s finest style and lifestyle bloggers and online media.
Leading the launch is UNIQLO Philippines COO Mr. Katsumi Kubota
The UNIQLO LifeWear Spring/Summer 2017 collection are divided into 8 departments: Denim, Work Smart,Uniqlo Sport, Airism, UT, Uniqlo Kids, Uniqlo U and Ines De La Fressange.
UNIQLO Denim combines tradition and innovation for a new generation of stylish and comfortable everyday jeans. A new addition to their collection are the distressed jeans (or poor man’s jeans, a formerly known style called beggar’s). But these jeans are anything but poor in quality – it may look ‘distressed’ but the jeans are stronger than ever.
The WorkSmart collection features comfortable, accessible, and polished pieces that are versatile and low-maintenance to ensure that we look both professional and stylish at the same time. Made with fabrics such as drape and rayon that are both wrinkle-resistant and machine washable, the collection is made to be mixed and matched, it can be pared down for the work place and dressed up for a night out.
UNIQLO Sport incorporates sportswear features into everyday apparel to make clothing functional and always fashionable. They have expanded the collection this year to encompass a wider range of sports wear that help enhance athletic performance.
Airism is a line of innovative functional innerwear that solves a variety of discomfort by controlling sweat. More than just cooling, its quick-drying technology keeps skin smooth and dry even when perspiring. Light, thin, and smooth, AIRism is designed to feel as if nothing is there.
UT or UNIQLO T-shirst is a celebration of culture, designed from carefully selected pop art from around the world. Its latest includes the 2nd year line-up of Disney’s Magic For All UT Collection featuring MICKEY STANDS (Mickey in striking iconic poses) and MICKEY BLUE (Mickey designs in Japanese indigo dyeing) plus Marvel, 40 Years of Star Wars and the new Cars 3 Movie motifs.
KIDS & BABIES
The UNIQLO Kids and Baby collection was born out of the need to create comfortable and durable clothing that will help children interact with and learn about their surroundings. The key is to make the clothes functional, safe, durable and comfortable.
The UNIQLO global design team led by Christophe Lemaire is reinventing basis to anything but basic. Clothing that transcends trends and becomes an ideal expression of who we are. Every form made for function. Every element endlessly considered. Every design throughtfully deconstructed, tested and distilled to its most essential and sophisticated. That’s how they described UNIQLO U.
INES DE LA FRESSANGE
The seventh collaboration with French fashion icon Ines de La Fressange takes its inspiration from French port city of Marseilles. Combining gradations of her signature indigo with on-trend berry accents for styling that is at once nostalgic of sunshine and sea breezes.
The UNIQLO LifeWear Spring/Summer 2017 collection are now available in all branches!
