Three towns in Cavite and one big New City is setting a great holiday tradition and rainCHECK would not miss it for all the Christmas cookies in the world!
Last Saturday (November 26), I was able to witness the grand launch of the famous Lancaster New City Santa’s Workshop Light Show and Pyromusical!
This is the second year that the newest but constantly evolving township development in the province of Cavite are holding this spectacular event.
Owned and managed by the Property Company of Friends (PRO-FRIENDS), Lancaster New City is a mater-planned community that spans 1,600 hectares in Cavite particularly in the towns of Imus and General Trias only 6.5kms away from the Cavitex Kawit Toll Exit. A good 15 – 20 minutes ride away from SM Mall of Asia, depending on traffic conditions (especially at the Coastal Toll Plaza).
I have always wanted to own a house and lot unit at Lancaster because it’s really a very promising real estate development, and with talks about the Light Rail Transit (LRT) extending to as far as the town of Imus, it will very well soon become one of the best property investment here in this part of Mega Manila.
Our Lancaster New City visit last Saturday started at the Lancaster Experience Center which basically is like a sales and business center that showcases all the exciting amenities and what the company has to offer would-be homeowners. So, if you’re looking to get an idea of what Lancaster is all about and a birds eye view of their developments – this is where you should start.
Here’s a quick visual tour of what’s inside the experience center:
The town boast of its very own unique school system inside the development – the St. Edward Schools. It now has two campuses with over 2,000 students. In the future, St. Edward Community Schools will be built in the different zones to cater the growing population of residents at Lancaster New City.
Lancaster is also home to many different opportunities like the SuntechiPark, PRO-FRIENDS’ first office IT Park development that is aimed at providing residents with options for work and business near their homes, a 25-hectare commercial-business-lifestyle district called Downtown Lancaster that will provide retail and leisure activities to both office workers and residents.
The Square, a sprawling commercial center that opened three years ago is still a popular hangout inside with several commercial and retail establishments like convenience stores, restaurants, wellness hubs and other service centers.
Right beside the experience center are also the model units area – a whole block of all the Lancaster New City model units, fully-furnished and open to all who wants to get some ideas on what their would-be homes could look like.
We were able to visit a couple of the units, here are some of my photos of the ones that I checked:
Lancaster New City currently has 13 house models, a selection of 2-storey townhomes and single attached homes designed for young professionals, start-up families and bigger growing families. Single aatached units have their own Family Courtyard and Enclaves.
Buying a house in Lancaster is made easy even if you are working abroad. It can be availed through cash, in-house financing or bank financing. Various financing schemes for 5, 10, 15 or 20 years are available. Loan application under BDO, UCPB and Metrobank can also be processed for you when you make a reservation. Plus, Pag-Ibig Financing options also to selected units.
Not too far from the Experience Center and through a Linear Park is the Church of The Holy Family and the Leighton Hall Clubhouse where we were introduced to Ms. Tet Bugayong, the Marketing Services Manager of Lancaster, and our gracious host that evening.
By the way, the Simbang Gabi schedule at the Church of the Holy Family is from December 15 to 24 at 7pm.
Christmas Light Show
15 minutes before the Christmas Light Show and Pyromusical, we gathered once again at the Experience Center because we were told that this is where all the magic will happen!
The lights all went out at exactly 6:30 and as the music plays, one by one, the lights went on and off dancing to the merry Christmas tunes starting with the colorful arc that says “Welcome To Santa’s Workshop.”
At the side of the Linear Park are five lighted house-like installations that shows the mantra of Lancaster New City – LIVE, LEARN, WORK, PLAY and PRAY.
Joining the dancing light show are the candy cane poles, lighted trees, bushes and even some of the model units facing the Linear Park. It was truly a festive experience!
The good news is that this show will happen all weekends of December until December 26 from 6:30pm to 10:00pm. A 5-minute Christmas Light Show every 30 minutes for 3 1/2 hours.
Aside from the Christmas Light show, one of the most awaited event at Lancaster is also the pyromusical event that happens before the New Year. But to signal the start of the holiday season, Lancaster New City lit up the sky last Saturday to give visitors and residents a taste of what’s going to happen on October 31st!
Here’s a video of the grand opening of Lancaster New City’s Christmas Light Show and Pyromusical:
But that’s not all! Lancaster New City also added more activities for residents this holiday season:
Open Air Cinema
On December 3 (Saturday), Lancaster New City, in partnership with Cinema One will hold free movie screenings of Achy Breaky Heart and Everyday I Love You in a unique outdoor set-up. There will be games and surprises plus a special celebrity guest to warm the outdoor movie event. Movie snacks, yummy treats and food trucks will also be available for all movie-goers.
Christmas Bazaar and BAGA MANILA
Another exciting treat this year at Lancaster New City is a whole line of food-tripping experience brought by BAGA MANILA or thee Barbecue and Grillers Association of Manila that provides a great selection of grilled food, street and gourmet food, local delicacies and many others.
Here’s a quick look of Baga Manila at Lancaster New City:
On the other side is a Christmas Bazaar that offers wonderful items great for gifts at bazaar prizes. The Bazaar will run until January 8, 2017.
Lastly, starting December 13, Lancaster New City will be hosting a series of pocket events that they call the 12 Days of Christmas Countdown. There will be a Christmas Chorale Show, Magic Show, Bubble Show, Tron Dancers Show, Marching Band Parade, a Meet & Greet with Santa Claus, and many others.
While all these activities are intended for residents, these activities are open to the public – and specially to all those non-residents but are interested to own a house at Lancaster New City someday. To test the waters or to get a feel, so-to-speak.
How to Get to Lancaster New City:
From Manila, the fastest route would be via Cavitex which is accessible via Roxas Boulevard or Macapagal, Coastal Road. Then from Cavitex, take the Centennial Road and turn left at Advincula Avenue.
Shuttle services are available at nearby towns as well as a transport terminal with buses going to (and coming from) Lawton, EDSA and Buendia.
