This year’s Bloggers’ Style Camp sends out a huge message on social media against cyber bullying!
GMA Network Social Media Head Apang Florescio together with the whole social media team of GMA stressed on the role of social media influencers in promoting #HeartOverHate online during the culminating event of Bloggers’ Style Camp 2016, to educate the public about the dangers of cyber bullying and to help in stopping it.
Cyber Bullying is defined as the act of harming or harassing via information technology networks in a repeated and deliberate manner. Which is far worst than being bullied in person, because basically it’s impersonal and the attacks have a wider range of audiences. In an age where people rely so much on the internet for basic information and social participation, it is very much possible that most people would present themselves as both victims and accomplices to this act without them even knowing it.
Cyber Bullying is bullying with 10x the damages! And it must be stopped!
Bloggers’ Style Camp is an artist building fashion photography competition which involves GMA Network’s artists along with the country’s top entertainment, lifestyle, fashion ad beauty bloggers. It aims to strengthen the relationship of GMA with its online influencers through campaigning socially relevant advocacies. Here are this year’s photo entries:
I wast part of last year’s Bloggers’ Style Camp together with artists Kristoffer Martin and Joyce Ching (Team KrisJoy) and we have tackled the theme of BULLYING for our fashion shoot. We landed second over-all in the competition.
Here are some exclusive photos (never before seen BTS photos of the shoot):
Anyway, this year’s Bloggers’ Style Camp focuses more on Cyber Bullying and with only two teams – Team Girls (Bea Binene, Louise Delos Reyes, Ashley Ortega and Mikee Quintos) and Team Boys (Derrick Monasterio, Ken Chan, Martin Del Rosario and Phytos Ramirez).
In the end, it was TEAM GIRLS who reigned supreme! But kudos to all the participants for coming out with excellent concept shoots this year!
Also present during the event is the boy group TOP and renowned fashion photographer Raymund Isaac.
The culminating event was held at the Cities Events Place in Quezon City last Thursday night. The event also was the official launch of the GMA Network’s #HeartOverHate anti-cyber bullying campaign supported by various Kapuso artists like Marian Rivera, Alden Richards, Kylie Padilla, Ruru Madrid, Kris Bernal, Julie Anne San Jose, Glaiza De Castro, Andrea Torres, Miguel Tanfelix, Bianca Umali and Andre Paras. All of whom and together with the Bloggers’ Style Camp participants are part of a special advocacy video that will come out on TV, GMA website and social media pages and SM Cinemas.
