The Natsu Maki fever may be over but the memory of that great tasting summer treat from Teriyaki Boy – stays!
Natsu is summer in Japanese and last May, Teriyaki Boy Japanese Restaurant unleashes their Summer Set and Summer Rolls promo. Along with this promo is a special summer roll that has a spiced-up watermelon on it – they called the dish a Natsu Maki.
We decided to visit Teriyaki Boy Glorietta in Makati a couple of days before the Natsu promo is ended.
For only 379 Pesos, you get an 8-roll Natsu Maki plate, a Chicken Rice Bowl, a Katsudon Rice Bowl and two glasses of Iced Tea. Just perfect for that awesome summer date but not enough for a group of four so we ordered another plate of that Natsu Maki and to complete the summer experience, we also tried their watermelon shake.
DID YOU KNOW: That the correct way of eating sushi and maki rolls is by hand? Not with Chopsticks! (pa-sosyal lang kasi hehe)
We also ordered a Chashu Ramen Shoyu and a plate of Ebi Tempura.
DID YOU KNOW: That shoyu is a ramen soup flavored with soy sauce? While Chashu is a kind of braised pork preparation in Japanese – together they make a delicious Ramen.
The Summer Set Promo ended last June 9. We are already awaiting for its return in 2017!
