Good news to all foodies out there! San Miguel Pure Foods Home Foodie Season 2 is coming out with its second season shows starting on June 13 (Monday) on GMA right after Unang Hirit.
The show is hosted by one of my favorite TV host on the planet – DREW ARELLANO a self-crowned foodie par excellence together with experts from the San Miguel Pure Foods Culinary Center, Chefs Llena Tan-Arcenas, Rene Cruz and RJ Garcia.
Home Foodie Season 2 will bring out more “Kayang-Kayang Sarap” recipes that will turn foodies (like me) into expert cooks in their very own kitchens.
Chef Llena explains that “Kayang-Kayang Sarap” is the show’s way of describing the dishes that they will be preparing in every episode – these are delicious and definitely doable recipes that even a kitchen newbie can do at home in an instant.
Speaking of newbie, the second season of Home Foodie will also introduce viewers to Drew’s very beautiful and very pregnant wife, host-actress IYA VILLANIA!
It will be a riot! Short daily programs but definitely a riot with these two in the kitchen!
During the media launch held last Friday at the San Miguel Purefoods Culinary Center in Pasig City, Iya admitted that Drew is better in the kitchen than her. She told us that ‘the husband’ gets to play and act Chef-like every time he’s in the kitchen.
However, Iya is not new to cooking shows either. She has been part of lifestyle programs on television that has cooking as part of the segments. So co-hosting Home Foodie Season 2 will be a cinch!
Here’s a video of the two hosts during the media launch revealing THAT one time when Drew made Iya cried at home because of her cooking:
Just a taste of what’s in store for us in every episode of Home Foodie Season 2! Did I mention that it’s going to be a riot? 🙂
Also at the media launch, we were able to witness a real live cooking demo with the hosts and Chef Llena who prepared for us a delicious Pot Roast Chicken!
Here are two of my favorite dishes that we got to taste during the event:
Witness Drew and Iya’s cooking adventures as each episode tackles domestic struggles that are commonly experienced when it comes to learning and prpeparing great food for our loved ones. Catch them Mondays to Fridays after Unang Hirit beginning June 13 on GMA.
